Okay I'll post after 11pm and if there any significant developments other than Furlong, Philogene and Morton coming in, I'll assess. As it stands, it's a disappointing window.

Look I know everyone's panicking but to call it a disappointing window is a bit unfair. We secured the future of a lot of key players (Slater, Jones and Macca among others) which in years gone by we've been generally **** at. One thing we lacked last season was squad depth. We've added a fair whack of that now to the point where the bench against Bristol City was by far the best I recall in recent memory.

Yes we are doing patchwork jobs in some areas with loans etc. That's just the nature of any champ club without parachutes. Shame we missed out on Davis as well but it is what it is.

Lets face it the club has had to rectify years of bargain basement windows and on top of that last years window which was the definition of sub-par in retrospect. Yes we all would have liked some more permanent deals in to develop but Rome wasn't built in a day and never will this squad be. Its good enough now to be midtable and potentially push for playoffs with some luck.

Thats why its better to keep your gob shut and do your business quietly however Acun and Liam seem to lack the understanding on that. Under promise and over deliver.

People keep saying this over and over but what are you actually talking about? The only times I can think of when Rosenior or Acun have talked up our upcoming business have been about deals that got done or are about to get done (Twine and Philogene). Who have we missed out on after shouting about it? Are people taking ITK posts on here as 'Acun and Rosenior over promising'?

Just quoting this because it's the most recent post on the subject, but there's dozens it applies to. But what a weird discourse it is that's developed over this summer. We've signed/are signing multiple players with promotions from this level, players that other clubs are looking at and asking how the hell we've got them. Players like Morton who played all season at Blackburn finishing just outside the playoffs and instead of going back there he's coming to us.

Considering where we finished last season, for all these players to want to come here instead of other clubs is incredible. We've done a brilliant job of selling our ambition, seemingly to everyone except our own fans, some of whom are just absolutely determined to be unhappy this summer. We've had a good start to the season but even that isn't really acknowledged, we only talk about the points we have dropped. It's so, so weird. I wonder what it'll take to convince people.

Which players have come here that had actual offers on the table that matched or where better then ours?

Hoping Oscar stands firm and refuses to go, he is a player who wants to stay at the club and it's great when you can have players like that plus there is enough players coming in that could help with assists, this morton kid seems to be able to put good balls through i think Oscar would benefit alot off the new players.
And not play? If we have been able to see how bad his overall game is imagine how much LR has seen in training. His mind is clearly made up.

They've lost 19 balls since pre-season just from them bouncing off his foot and over the hedge when he was meant to control it.

I have no idea of offers on the table at any club, but several of our signings are players that are very well respected in the division, have proven records in the division and have led to fans of other clubs asking how the hell we've landed them.

Are you one of the ones that kept slating his goals last season because 'He ScUfFeD tHeM iN'?

As much as anything else, the Longman deal sums up how far we've come in the last few months. He was starting a lot for us last season and most fans agreed he wasn't good enough. Now he's so surplus here thanks to the players we've brought in, that we can offload him, and to illustrate how strong our squad is, it turns out Millwall, another club who just missed out on the playoffs, actually want him in their squad.

So an almost-playoff side thinks that our no longer needed castoff can improve them. What does that say about the level of our attacking options now?

It's a good point but you could also point to someone like Honeyman as well who they took from us and had a strong season. It's all swings and roundabouts. Look at Tufan with us compared to other teams. It either works out, or it doesn't.
