Davis for Oscar seemed to be a big part of Rosie’s plan. So not getting Davis, still losing Oscar then not having any sort of replacement lined up seems absolutely mental to me.

I just think he's incredibly naïve. Naïve in thinking players are tripping over each other to join us due to his 'style of play' when there's probably half a dozen teams in the Championship alone that play possession-based, slow build-up football and play it better than us under more experienced managers.

He hasn't really got any pull and why would he? He's an inexperienced coach and as a player he didn't play at the level Gerrard, Carrick and Lampard did to compensate for that when they went into coaching. He's a cult hero for us because he played for us during the most successful period in our club's history but to the rest of the footballing world, he's a relative nobody.

I like the guy and everyone has to start somewhere in management but I think a club with an ambitious owner who like ours should've gone for someone with a better CV and more experience than League 1 Derby's interim manager for a few months. The appointment and his tenure so far just has a whiff of Solskjær at Man Utd about it. Initial excitement/nostalgia over former player becoming manager, mediocre performances, results and transfers then people saying 'give him time, trust the process' and giving him the benefit of the doubt mainly because he's an ex-player. I just don't see it ending with us being successful under him.

So that’s Cox out the window. Surely he’s a better option Furlong who might end up like Simon’s and loaned out next year.

Furlong = Brighton Academy Player shipped to Motherwell in January. Is this really the kind of signing that has been long in the planning for T-Day?
McLoughlin had a loan at St Mirren befoer he came into our first team. Are you disparaging about him as well?

Jesus. You couldn't wait until, you know, the end of the 'disappointing window' to call it a 'disappointing window'? Did you used to burst into tears on Xmas Eve and tell your parents it had been a 'disappointing Christmas on the whole'?

Okay I'll post after 11pm and if there any significant developments other than Furlong, Philogene and Morton coming in, I'll assess. As it stands, it's a disappointing window.

bang on the money, seems to attract some cult like following despite giant holes in his approach and attitude.

One of the best posts in this whole window.

What happened to this Chair geezer and this massive new sponsorship deal. Right now we’re being treat like mushrooms…fed on **** and kept in the dark.

Thats why its better to keep your gob shut and do your business quietly however Acun and Liam seem to lack the understanding on that. Under promise and over deliver.

Just quoting this because it's the most recent post on the subject, but there's dozens it applies to. But what a weird discourse it is that's developed over this summer. We've signed/are signing multiple players with promotions from this level, players that other clubs are looking at and asking how the hell we've got them. Players like Morton who played all season at Blackburn finishing just outside the playoffs and instead of going back there he's coming to us.

Considering where we finished last season, for all these players to want to come here instead of other clubs is incredible. We've done a brilliant job of selling our ambition, seemingly to everyone except our own fans, some of whom are just absolutely determined to be unhappy this summer. We've had a good start to the season but even that isn't really acknowledged, we only talk about the points we have dropped. It's so, so weird. I wonder what it'll take to convince people.
