Sorry to hear that.
Reminds me - I used to nick P.D. tipped from my gran's package and she gave me pocket money for City matches and I bought the untipped Woodbines with the other 10 pence. She must have known, but never let on, bless her.
It's the big fire for you T.C....:emoticon-0145-shake

I think bringing in a second left back and chucking out Brandon Fleming allows Greaves to be a centre half and Smith as back up gives us four again.

I aren’t sure if there’s also a quality problem as well, an experienced quality champ centre half would do this team absolute wonders. Someone of the Elphick mould.

Because we have a capable #1 but no real #2 to push him. Allsop solves an issue we have without taking up money that is needed much more in other areas in the team

hes certainly not a major issue but always gives me a smile seeing you defending Ingram to the hilt even when everyone was on the Darlow train. It’s something I’d look at in Jan if we have funds available and he can’t improve his feet imo.

Saw it mentioned that we're in for Ryan Allsop at Cardiff - don't know how true it is, it was a Cardiff fan who said it, but looks like he was at Derby when Rosenior was there - so could be some truth in it?

Looks like there is some truth in it.

To be fair I think it's something Howden's always been right on. Ingram makes big saves week in week out and his distribution this season has been very good, but for some reason he just can't shake this tag of being a limited, lower-end keeper that we need to replace.

Yeah, and a concern I had since it was raised on the podcast was if we cop a CB injury we're very thin back there as it is.

Greaves and Coyle cover Vinagre (LR used Coyle LB against Scunny pre-season and singled him out for praise).

Cyrus Christie also filled in at CB for a couple of games last season, so maybe LR is comfortable with the CB situation?

We've got his father's permission, but he hasn't said "I do" yet.

Yeah Brucie always liked 5 centrebacks. We have three and then someone untried at this level. Christie could also play there, but a couple of suspensions/ injuries would **** us up

He definitely has improved with his feet. Last night he played a few line breakers through the press to either Slater or Seri. Wasn’t his fault the former would then pass it backwards to the defender

completely agree, if we are a complete side then by all means drop a wedge on Darlow but I can think of a good few positions I’d want sorting first.

Does Liam think Ingram is capable? His fannying about vs Doncaster maybe exposed his weakness with his ball at his feet.
Great shot stopper, but I’d be very surprised if he’s first choice in a couple of months (last few years, successive managers have bought in a No 2 on loan and waited until Ingram makes one mistake and drops him)

Ingram is a good shot-stopper and is getting better with his distribution. Allsop is a huge comedown from Darlow and the other keepers we’ve been linked with this summer. Must’ve been very low on Rosenior’s transfer target list.
