a cheap meat head who’d happily sit on the bench, come on to see out leads in the last 10 and provide a new figure in the dressing room who’s been the leader of a back to back play off side.
Took me a while to copy and paste from their ****e website but this was in the HDM earlier. “One club, in particular, has sanctioned, in principle, the departure to City of one of their players, but will not do so until their manager is happy with his replacements, a situation which is naturally frustrating but par for the course at this time of year. Another player - an exciting winger - has made clear his wish to come to the MKM Stadium, but other offers have come his way and understandably, he wants to take time to ensure he makes the right career move.” Darlow and Twine maybe?
Latest I’ve heard is GK wanted, but won’t go over odds, CB interest, but not a Socks issue, as he’s been around a few years, also winger that we were interested in, went elsewhere before, but might be available as team doesn’t see him as PL material. That’s my HP sauce anyway!
Rosy’s first two signings are gonna be players who missed most of last season through injury. Serial waffler.
To be fair I don’t think Twine missed most of it through injury, he was just coming back into the most in form squad in the league attempting to get fitness back. Wasn’t actually injured that long
Having an injury doesn't necessarily mean injury prone. I'd say for example Christie and Oscar are two players who have had good injury records on the whole, not missed games with the odd niggle here and there but they both did miss the end of the season with 'one-off' type injuries which can happen. If the club medical staff believe that the players they're bringing in will be robust aside from the unavoidable risk of the occasional injury that happens to any player, then I'm happy. And given that Rosenior has talked about robustness I'm sure that's exactly the situation. I find it hard to believe that he's just forgotten his previously stated desire to have less injured players. It seems we've decided against Connelly, perhaps because he was deemed to have had too many separate niggling issues in his time here to the point that it started to look like a theme.
He was. He missed over 20 games because of injury for Burnley. Whilst unfortunate for him it wasn’t a one-off. It was the result of a recurring hip injury he first got in pre-season.
I like Rosenior but he does chat ****e a lot of the time. Maybe put it down to him being a young, relatively-inexperienced manager who wants to put a positive spin on everything but he has a tendency to talk too much when saying less is probably better. He’s the polar opposite of Nigel Pearson in this regard who was very coy when asked about anything.
I get the premise of it, but it’s one season. Seemed to have overcome it at the end, had played every game for the previous 2 seasons. Robustness can’t be assessed in the short term, it applies to Bradley given his age, less so Twine imo who had played 44 and 47 league games in the last 2 seasons prior to the one just gone
Me too, he would be a really good addition. Probably makes sense for Burnley, could be a loan with the option to buy, as unlikely he would play a big part in their EPL squad.
Knives out already with some of these comments, I’ll reserve judgement when all deals done , still need another goal scorer and LB at least
