Just catching up with the last few hours of Deadline Day.

Vale is a very smart arrival, can play a number of positions and is really highly thought of.

I can't understand for the life of me why we passed on Halil though, and then acted all smug about it only to be left short of quality up top and strengthened a rival too. I know we wanted the buy option but there isn't one of Vale or Simons so it doesn't really make sense

They count as home grown. We need to have 7 in any matchday 16. Not only that, we need the cover until some of the long termers are back from injury and ready to start after Xmas.

Just spoke to a mate I worked with when he managed Wimbledon, he is at Chelsea now and has been working with the 2 players. Said we have got a couple of top players, 'Xav is a destroyer in midfield' and 'Harvey has a real eye for goal'. They should be a real asset to us.

We really do have a cracking squad now, the owner and his team have done what they said they would do, just hope Shota can get a tune out of them.

I really don’t get the lofty praise for Woods against QPR. He came on, did the basics right and was better than Cannon (not hard) and people make out he played like prime Iniesta and massively changed the game for us. People were ****ing themselves silly because Cannon came on against Coventry in the second half and was half-decent as well. It’s bizarre. Woods hasn’t done anything near enough to warrant dropping Slater for him. He should’ve started against QPR but if Seri, Slater and Tufan are all fit and available, Woods doesn’t start ahead of any of them.

You need to learn football...Woods is a proper footballer, looks for the ball. Slater is a grafter, but goes missing.

We looked miles more solid with Woods playing as he actually showed for the ball. Albeit QPR sat right off but Woods was comfortably our best player on the night. Gave us miles more balance whereas Cannon just gave us a headless chicken. Although I do agree with the point that people need to stop ****ing themselves silly over people just doing their expected job

Anybody know the inner workings of these last minute transfers? Like, how do you register players? Do you just have a bunch of guys making calls frantically, or is there an online system or something?
All online and once you've started the process you can go until tomorrow morning to get it processed.

Feel like we've got good depth over a couple of formations now. Obviously need to start getting bodies back, but we're lightyears ahead of where we were last year.

Seri isn't injured, so he could as he returned to training. If he's not match fit, maybe he won't feature. Tufan I was told could be ready for Sunday. If he can play, he sort of has to for me, we can't afford to be without him. But then again, I don't want him getting crocked again. Argh. Tough one.

If seri isn’t injured…why isn’t he playing?
