I'm really not overly interested in getting into another back and forth on hypotheticals when everyone's just guessing how much those players cost. As a FACT, we sold KLP for 16m and can amortise the transfer fees of our incomings over the lengths of their deals, meaning the only cost we're incurring this year is a fraction of their fee + a year of their wages. If that fraction + wages + agent fees is over 29m (before even considering increased income from matchday and commercial deals) I'd be very surprised but again, we'll see when we see the accounts.
I think what it says is if we don’t get promotion asap we will be in trouble in two or three years

I think the idea that we'd be able to sell 2-3 players a summer to turn us sustainable is an ok one so long as it works - if it doesn't, as you said we're a bit ****ed. But if we had to sell Oscar and Ingram next summer to bring in another 10-15m of transfer fees, plus not needing to add as much to the squad next summer, then that could be a model Acun looks to follow.

I'll be interested to see what Baz writes, but I think people are seeing Acun being prudent with FFP and being sensible and thinking that means we're literally at the limit which are two very different things.

Nowhere near but close enough for the owner to mention it multiple times to a local reporter

I've never got the confusion over FFP but I may be wrong.

If we're losing say 20mil this year with fees etc then we can only lose 18mil over the next 2 years (or an average of 9mil per year)

Acun may think that without promotion we may be losing that per year with the wages he's paying out and not wanting to cash on on our assets like we have with KLP. And he may be budgeting 5mil in transfers in each of the next 2 years.

So yes we may be some way off 38mil losses this year but that doesn't mean we won't be in 2 years time.

Again, could be wrong and correct me if I am

13m loss in a year would merely mean we can't do that three years running, not that we're close this year. If that's what Acun means is 'close' then fair enough, I'd still be reasonably surprised with the increased matchday revenue, increased sponsorships, and KLP sale we're still going to run at a 13m loss, but I guess we'll have to wait for the accounts.

It's what they've always been talking about.

It's about not writing cheques now that will screw us in the coming years. What it means though is that we'll be running at near maximum permissible investment in the reporting period, as some were suggesting was impossible a couple of months ago because they chose to believe Google saying Acun had less money than the Allams, as opposed to Acun and Tan when they came in saying they favoured buying City due to the FFP headroom leaving more opportunity for investment.

Somebody will be along to correct you in a minute…whether you’re wrong or not!

Worth it already.

He’ll be gone for £20m if we don’t go up too.

Which makes the bed wetting over how much were spending seem all the more ridiculous, but 10 or so similar salaries puts us close to the permissible losses until that happens, or revenues rise significantly more than anticipated in the next couple of years

My brother used to wet the bed and I had to share the bed with him - if only we’d had a forum then , I would have happily accepted sleeping n the edge , literally , every night
