We've got so many in the same boat though. The minutes Tetteh has played on a week's pre season is terrifying. Oscar has played too many minutes, I'll always worry about Alfie too with his injury record.
We just can't rest them all.

Man Utd used to do it so well under Fergie and Gill. In this day, we'd never be able to get Brady, or a Chester permanently but Man Utd seemed to be really fair and once they decided a player wasn't good enough they let them go for a reasonable fee so they could have a good career.

Chelsea are the worst offenders for it. They’ll sign any **** and leave them to rot in the reserves or send them on multiple loans over the next 5 years before finally letting them leave permanently. It’s ridiculous.
Chelsea are horrendous for it. These clubs are so worried about letting a player go early that they cripple plenty of good young player's careers.
With the Lavinier one, he can't want to stay. They're still ****ers for dropping him from the 23s though. So why don't we get him permanently for a low initial fee and then give them a big juicy sell on clause. Everyone wins that way
I agree with your point, though I’d add that after those five years they are each millionaires. So not such a bad life.
They probably aren't millionaires either. Most will be on less than £10k a week, that's £500k per year but then you've got PAYE/NI. Your take home pay is actually £270k. It's clearly good money but in exchange for stunted development, it isn't a particularly good deal
I read a couple of years ago that they had 180 professionals on their books. Says it all.
Is that how they get paid? I would have thought they may be contracted through there own Ltd Companies or other more tax efficient means.
