I think they’re confusing us for saying that small lads can’t do it. We need size in the midfield there are no good midfielders without it
Castro is regularly confused so you’re probably right.

No, no nuance here. Just look at all the great, short players Castro named in isolation.
I remember a few years ago when some I know was doing his coaching badge at Lilleshall. That was in the days of Charlie Hughes’ and POMO, where Watford was the benchmark. (You might need to look up Hughes and his theories) John Barnes was doing a rehabilitation course after an injury. Looking round Barnes observed to a coach that all these young lads were bigger than him. The coach told him that if you were small you wouldn’t get in. “That would have been tough **** for Maradona”:said Barnes before walking off shaking his head.

When?
When Barnes was doing his rehabilitation and Charlie Hughes was running things. Before your time.

No, when did I ask?
No, when did I ask?
Are you saying you doubt what I am saying?
No, I’m saying I don’t care.
So why ask when? You really are a sad ****.
'Short Arse' Scholes at 5' 6" ?
I said ‘when did I ask?’ because I didn’t ask, because I wasn’t interested. Hope that clears it up.
I posted about Barnes at Lilleshall and you replied When? Are you a bit confused?

It’s clearly gone way over your head, Castro. Never mind![]()
Dave Mackay, a favourite of mine back in the day and Chopper Harris were 5’8. Wouldn’t have minded them winning the ball for us. Or those giants Bremner and Giles. Up front we could have had the tiny Pele, another who was 5’8””
