Hmm, I disagree with you there, I think he's more than capable. Being a DM is more than just your size, Slater is very good at winning the ball from people and forcing mistakes, plus he's more mobile than Smallwood was.

Still need cover for the role though. Can't imagine he'll be sole DM.

You can disagree all you like but nothing will change the fact that Seri and Slater are both short and not very strong on the ball. They’d get bullied by any Championship midfield with a bit of height and strength.

They got overwhelmed by Posh’s midfield. Because they can’t get up and down, Posh’s deep midfielders had a field day absolutely 0 pressure on them

I think Docherty's work ethic is unquestioned he gives his all in training and on the field for the Club and Fans, he may not be the most skilful or have a bag full of tricks but what you get is an engine that just does not run out of fuel and someone that will bleed for the club.

100% if he’s not starting over Tufan after his pre season he should rightly be fuming. Williams also has a good case for that too

No Crash in confidence here.

After Tan's top 6 statement to Buckingham, then it's pretty clear heads will roll if expectations aren't met.

We where going to win the league 2 weeks ago after signing all these players with amazing stats on computer games…..that crash of confidence came quicker than expected….

Let’s see how we do after 5 games….permission to panic granted in September ….

Usual knee jerkers. Not looking arsed in a preseason game isn't automatically a relegation. Fixtures look horrendous through August and September though. Might take time to come together

It was obvious what the people upstairs wanted, you don't do what they are doing and expect a mid table finish.

No, but that's what they might get as there's been major churn in the squad, and it rarely comes together from the off, especially as many aren't yet match fit.

I would give him til November at least, but I suspect they'll move quicker than that if things aren't going well.

From what I've seen of Slater, he doesn't get bullied much at all. Seri seems to be able to hold his own as well. I'm not saying we shouldn't sign a DM, but I don't think Slater should be written off for that role.
