Well he (Honeyman) clearly didn't want to stay here that much if he so easily, readily, early made his mind up to go to Millwall (as has now come out)!! The reverse of what he was saying publicly at the time.

I don't think Honeyman wanted to stay and fight for his place which i believe he would have to do, he was used to being first name on team sheet because he was one of the main people that most of our play come from and we had very little elsewhere to provide outlets, but i believe we will have a lot more options this season and he probably felt his position was going to be threatened in the Team that will come with players that would actually challenge his position.

i really do not think Millwall is a step up and i do not think they have more of a chance of play offs than we do, what i do think is he believes he has a better chance of keeping his spot in the Team there than he would here.

Already playing for us last season, same with AS. So can hardly be included in 5 incomings that improve us!!!
As Allahyar is supposed to be a permanent signing, a fee being paid, then surely he should be announced as a new signing!
Also both loans finished, both left the club, to some degree, with negotiations taking place, Baxter was announced as loan with view to permanent, yet Allahyar has been strangely not mentioned.

I keep reading on here that the players coming in are of a much higher quality, which is good to know.

I'm well out of the loop, when it comes to European football and players though. I barely know any of our players :cheesy:

So my question here is are the more knowledgeable among us really so certain we'll have a better classier side this season? And isn't it often said that this league is one of the best leagues in the world.

I'm thinking we should keep our powder dry...

We can only put faith in the scouts or people involved and they have seen enough to believe they are better class and will do the job for us, hopefully they all turn out to be fan fav's, we all usually give them a chance in the shirt to prove themselves and some may not seem they are better class on paper but the scouts and Tan may think with certain other players around them and they will have improvement and will fit in well and help the club achieve it's end goal.

The owners and the team they put together around them have had plenty of time since they took over and before while waiting to get the club to have done plenty of homework on what they believe they need.

My prediction was almost spot on. Unveiling of new sponsor and shirt along with new signing. The shirt should have been out on Friday but due to a hitch was delayed slightly.
Apparently possible good news on a striker either tomorrow or Tuesday.
I think you mean your kid’s prediction?
You’re just his mouthpiece…

Obviously still work in progress with the squad yet. Would like to see another striker as I feel that’s still our Achilles heal at the moment. Other than that it’s good to see young Greavsy finally has a big experience player next to him and our midfield is taking shape nicely . The Championship is always a tough nut to crack and this season it looks even harder so fingers crossed the club keeps its realistic head on and the fans get behind a side who hopefully becomes a stronger and more difficult side to beat.

Championship Football..f’kin missed it ant you..

It’s certainly one of the most intense. 46 games, Tuesday and Saturday games regular with cup games dropped in there. It’s why I consider Honeyman a bigger loss than other posters might. He’s proven to be able to hack the intensity and physicality of this league. He played through the pain barrier of a painful shoulder injury. Tufan and Traoré are better than Honeyman in terms of quality and ability but the jury is most definitely still out on whether they can hack the Championship’s schedule and intensity. That’s not to mention the leadership and personality Honeyman had.

That's exactly what I mean.

That's just it though. I don't know Tufan or Traore are better than Honeyman, until I see them.

As we know, Honeyman played through an injury, Traore was injured after 20mins on the training ground.

Yeah but do we know if he trained on for another 10 minutes or not.

This is the guy who initially broke that the Seri deal was off. Google translate not really helping here, can't tell if he's saying it's back on are we're giving up

Twitter translate suggests it’s off and he’s not coming here…I think

'Seri is back in town today and it's likely that this time the transfer to Hull City will be over.'

Is he back in Hull? If so why when he has already turned us down.
'Transfer to Hull City will be over' could also be interpreted as over the line or dead in the water

I imagine it's off, but i'll remain optimistic for now.

On paper we will have a much better squad imo, but and it's a big but for me..... There's a big question over whether they can do it in England and the champ bar ally and Baxter of course.

*Based on who we have signed so far and the ones we are linked with

League 1 players have been frowned upon by us for a while, yet it’s where Luton and Huddersfield have done majority of their business and it’s worked out for them. Need to strike the right balance. Forest spent loads on players from abroad and very few of them worked out. Hopefully ours are different<laugh>
