Lowballed? Or a London club offered him more?
He directly said that the offer they gave to Honeyman was too low for him so he wanted to leave.

I can understand conditional obligations to buyHere's an example, funnily enough in Italy.

Looks like Everton (with FFP issues) want to sign Winks on a loan with an obligation to buy.
We saw a better return elsewhere. He would be behind the incomings and we offered a deal accordingly. Milwall wanted him more. Simple.
Time will tell. If its the right or wrong decision.
Looks like Tufan (or whoever we replace him with) has 4 goals and 5 assists in a season to beat in order to justify his outlay.
I thought tan did what the rest of us do and blame the Allams. He certainly mentioned them in his answer about George’s contract
We need 2 strikers. It's been confirmed we're in for Wright and there's another 'big name' we may have to be patient on.
The suggestion of muriqui is giving me a semi, truth be told.
Middlesboro attract players not by showing them around Middlesboro but by showing them Yarm and the surrounding areas. We should show potential signings around areas like Swanland, Kirkella and Welton then take them to Beverley, which is where Acun stays over. It's not rocket science. It's also something the Duffen era latched onto when they were here. You're right, some things are so good and deserve huge amounts of praise but they seem to be carrying out these things with no real plan!
Having worked in London for 2 days a week for the last two years I have looked at the state of the buildings on the approach to Hull from the train window almost every time and realised many people must be on a negative before they even set foot in the place. You then have smackheads and god knows what else all over the station and surrounding areas (like most stations to be fair) but if you can see past them and ventue on there are some great things such as Hammonds of Hull, the Bonus arena, the Marina, Humber Street, the Deep etc etc. I just feel like if you really want visitors to come to Hull and see what we all know is there if you look hard enough a bit of a clean up of the station, some proper security and a bit more sinage pointing out the great things that are out there we might start to see some serious progression towards getting rid of the lazy comments about Hull being a ****hole. Surely it cannot be hard to move these parasites on? I went to Coyles fruit stall the other day on my lunch break and was amazed by how many dodge pots were sat near McDonalds drinking, shouting etc. It must be terrifying for old people or kids.
Lets hope Seri didnt come on Train eh (Back on topic just like that)
I think this signing in particular if it happens would definitely blow socks off. Fingers crossed.I think there's something in it, whether we can pull it off or not is another question
Exactly this. Slutsky when he was here described the Championship as the 6th best league in Europe. The championship isn't 'average standard' that's just our perspective having been in the Prem, which is the pinnacle.
Championship is still one of the top 8-10 leagues in world football, its just overshadowed by a close bigger brother.
Theres few more competitive leagues in world football and just having membership of it probably puts you in the top 150 or so clubs in Europe. Even Rovverum.
Until they go down again, anyway.
Makes you wonder how Crystal Palace, Millwall, Tottenham and West Ham ever sign anyone.Middlesboro attract players not by showing them around Middlesboro but by showing them Yarm and the surrounding areas. Same principle, you could say the same about any big city, good parts, bad parts, so you showcase the best. Don't know if you are aware but there is some serious money in London and some of the richest people in the World choose to live there. There is also some serious money and impressive property not too far from the centre of Hull, so showcase that. Why drive down Spring Bank when you can drive down Kemp Road ?Makes you wonder how Crystal Palace, Millwall, Tottenham and West Ham ever sign anyone.
How many United or City players live in Manchester?Makes you wonder how Crystal Palace, Millwall, Tottenham and West Ham ever sign anyone.
Tan suggested they'd tried to offer a package within the scope of his pre-existing contract, so it could well have been length of contract that was the issue.
Did we let Eaves go because we didnt create the chances for him?
Apologies if I misheard / misunderstood the new memberships bit.
Other points imo remain valid. They could and should have kept up a steady trickle of positive updates. There has been and clearly now is stuff that could be said. There's been next to nothing coming out of the club to the public for a while now.
