Got to say trying to create the interest for people thinking about getting a membership then announcing a signing when ever one happens must get people talking and obviously the more it happens the more tempting it must be. For me personally I don’t care too much, accept the situation and know there is plenty of time yet. However increasing the membership is very important and one big way is showing intent and Creating that interest. Hopefully though things will start to happen very soon.

A big unveiling of the new shirt, and some marquee signings with Acun's big smiling face on our lovely new pitch is a great way to boost membership sales though

You're right, I wasn't saying they suffered. I did mention Odubajo suffering an injury, maybe that's the source of the confusion there.

I wouldn't say I see it as a soulless transaction, but I don't expect unconditional loyalty from any player. If we offer someone uncompetitive terms, they're going to leave, and it's just not realistic to expect otherwise. That happened with disproportionate regularity at City in the Allam era but thankfully it's stopped now.

No confusion here, you wrote:

I didn’t mention ‘expecting unconditional loyalty’ either. I haven’t read or heard anyone expecting such extremes from players, where are you getting that from? As if it’s ever a choice between slavish unconditional loyalty and its opposite? Hyped to say the least.

And don’t be so naïve about this being ‘stopped now’.

Wasn't Odubajo in a bad place mentally though and that was part of his desire to leave.

I'm just gutted for him really, he looked like he'd go on to be a regular PL player and he hasn't been the same since by all accounts.

I don't hold any badness towards him, he had some terrible misfortune and unfortunately in a career these things can happen. It's why I also find it tough to criticise a player making a move for money.

He was a Prem player

Memberships go on sale on Wednesday and I believe the new players are due to arrive at the start of next week, so you'd assume the new signings and new kit will be announced immediately before then.

Hull City remain hopeful of a breakthrough in their quest to sign Nathan Baxter from Premier League Chelsea. Baxter spent last season on loan at the MKM Stadium and impressed sufficiently for the club to want him back.

It had been suggested that Baxter would be given a chance to impress Blues boss Thomas Tuchel during a summer of significant change at Stamford Bridge, following the takeover by Todd Boehly.

Discussions earlier this summer between City and the Premier League outfit were proving challenging because of the change in ownership on the King's Road, but Hull Live understands the Tigers have been given encouragement that Baxter will be allowed to move on this summer.
