Yeah he needs the experience, he's proved himself in League Two.
Will be interesting to see what our keeper situation will be like, seems like interest in Ingram is growing and if we don't secure Baxter (though I'm pretty sure we will), we'll only have Cartwright and Robson.
I think Ingram goes if Baxter signs and stays if he doesn't, I think Cartwright will be #2 next season and Robson goes out on loan
Yeah, I look at the careers of Will Mannion (who recently joined Cambridge United) and Callum Burton (who joined Plymouth), both of whom played for England at youth level and both didn't cut the mustard for City so they're having to start over. Bit of a weird one Mannion heading to Pafos.
Timeframes for breaking through are different for keepers as they don't really hit their prime until late 20s in general (although that age is coming down as the role of a keeper at the top is starting to change ) it's not as important as outfield players to get game time at a very young age. A young keeper will learn way more in his late teens/early 20s by training at their parent club with the more experienced keepers.
Their is always exceptions to the rules though
One of England's best young keepers, who actually plays for England is Harvey Cartwright and we already have him.
Currently sat with a beer by the pool in Mexico and wondering when and who our first signing is .. oh and what to have for dinner, .. forgive me if the latter thought is more pressing !
I was under the impression Baxter was more looking to be number 2 at Chelsea if they could ship out Kepa.
Looks like Grant wants Harvey Cartwright. If he was to go out on loan, I couldn't think of a better place for him.

Guess the difference is if Honeyman had rejected an Allam contract we’d have been inclined to lose him!
I always rated Mannion, but it seems whoever decided he wasn't quite good enough, knows more about goalkeeping than me.
City have offered George Honeyman fresh terms in the hope of convincing him to sign a new contract (Baz).
