Chelsea sale could go through as early as tomorrow, leaving us able to start Baxter talks.
Would also be able to talk to any Burnley players. New owners bought with debt. Parachute payments, loss off tv rights and needing to repay the loan as part of the deal they will need a fire sale. League 1 beckons for them.

Do they have anyone we would like?

It seems quite bleak for Burnley, looks like they'll have to raise an additional £20m this summer to pay back the loan and then another £20m again in a year's time if they don't get promotion.

Them getting their wage bill under control will be relatively straightforward. They could probably afford to keep their current squad, assuming they have relegation wage drops. But their new owners appear to have zero desire to put their hand in their pocket.

I'm pretty sure they'll lose a fair few but there's actually not all that much in their squad

Dwight McNeil and Pope should sort them you’d assume

You'd imagine so, but everyone knows they need money.

I'm not sure how much either would go for, but I imagine Tarkowski, Mee, Cornet and Weghorst will be gone too.

Could potentially add Collins and Brownhill to that list too.

It feels like their owners have a bit of Ehab around them and have no desire to invest.

They need to start with a manager first though

Tarkowski and Mee are leaving for nowt.

Did they not get taken over and the new owners leveraged the purchase on them staying up?

They have to repay the 65m loan used to purchase the club, which means no parachute payments essentially, and they'll be selling Cornet, Weghorst, Pope at a minimum, with Tarkowski leaving on a free. They're stuffed.

I've just seen they're both going on a free. They 2 very decent PL CBs but if they don't agree new deals, you have to sell. Burnley can't afford to let them walk out the door for nothing and they've been relegated either way.

They're completely ****ed.

Yes, the owners did. They've got a £64m loan and one of the terms was they have to payback a 'significant portion' if they're relegated and another 'significant portion' if they don't come back up at the first attempt.

They've got Lennon, Cork, Barnes, Bardsley, Pieters, and Vydra all going on a free too.

That's an awful lot of experience to allow to walk out the door. They've got a major rebuild this summer

From what I've seen they've only got to payback around a third of it this summer. Although nobody seems to know but it's not meant to be more than half.

Is he a goal-scorer though?

At 32, it's a bit of a risk and he wouldn't be cheap to say the least
Not massively but AS playing off him (Barnes is 6ft 1 and puts it about) with KLP in support would be quite potent? Age yes why I was thinking 2 years. He'll not likely get another PL gig. No idea on money.
