Fernando has a bit of a dodgy history off the field from what I can gather. I’m not sure how much this played into the club’s decision not to pursue or if we were ever interested at all and it was just rumours from Turkish journos.
I can see it. Bale isn't the sort who would care about his wage at this stage, he just wants somewhere he can play to keep fit for the Wales national team. I think if they don't make the WC he'll retire anyway. Don't think he has the passion for football anymore.
He certainly doesn't need the money, you'd just think that after all the grief he's had in Spain and the lack of football, he might want to show he's still capable of playing at the highest level (even if it's just as a **** off to all the Real Madrid fans).

David Marshall....world most overrated keeper. I have never seen a keeper dive so little. If there was less than 50% of him getting to it he would not dive!
