Can we actually sign anybody yet? Don't we have to wait for the transfer window to open? I think the window opens on 10 June, and the international transfer window begins on 1 July 2022. Presumably we can't sign Allahyar unless his club cancels his contract, which given there'll be a fee couldn't happen (I don't know how it's supposed to work, but the dates are correct).

Fair point.

We would only be able to sign pre-contracts I believe. Can't register anyone new until then.

Even if Allahyar cancelled his contract, we couldn't sign him until 1st July. His contract would have had to have been cancelled in a transfer window for us to be able to register him outside of a window.

As OLM said, we can sign players whenever, we just can't register them yet

Regarding outgoings, I think we’ll see the phrase ‘will end up with McCann at Peterborough’ a lot over the coming months.

One player I genuinely do think will end up at Posh this summer is Docherty. I think it’s obvious Shota doesn’t fancy him and prefers Slater but McCann rates him a lot and he’d be an asset to any team in League 1. It’s a shame because I had high hopes for him and I love Doc’s energy and attitude but I think the Championship is just too high a level for his ability. He’s proven at League 1 level though and I reckon out of all the City players likely to leave this summer, McCann would want him the most, even ahead of Wilks.

Yes. Fair comment on Docherty for me. Good a division down but limitations are clear in the Championship. We need better.

I assume this thread is for non-City transfers too. Håland confirmed for Man City. Pep has no excuse to not win the CL next year.

Not sure if it is for other clubs but to answer your question. Pep will manage to **** it up somehow. And then he will be facing us the season after. It's downhill for him and them.

Not sure if the guys reliable but would be one heck of a signing, he's played 23 times for Brazil
The source is followed by Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, the guy who announced Pesic interest and Allahyar so hopefully it’s got some substance as if that’s the level of midfielder we’re bringing in we’ll be looking good next season

I thought this must be the Fernando who played for Man City, also a Brazilian defensive midfielder, but it's actually a different one. The Man City one is now at Sevilla.
That’s what I thought too, this one has had a pretty decent career too. Plenty of top flight football experience. And Brazilian National team apprearances… Only 30 too will have plenty to offer especially at this level.

Seen a few on Twitter saying he's too old but surely it's exactly what we need. A bit of experience, goals from set pieces and a brilliant example for our young defenders to learn from. Played every minute of this season so he's clearly fit and strong.

We'll need a right sided centre back and I'd much rather we go for Davies than loan some no-mark from a PL academy to sit on the bench and then leave after a year having made no impact.
