According to the BBC, Swansea have turned down an offer worth £40m for Siggy - form US. They have set a value of £50m on him.
Good for Swansea tbf - don't want to sell, shove a daft value on him - smashing player but not above £25m IMHO.

Apparently it was £35m plus add ons.40m bloody hell
Apparently it was £35m plus add ons.
He had stated that he is willing to stay at Swansea and they would be relegated without him so is about what he is worth to them.
Kinda wish we didn't bid that as now everyone else knows what we are willing to pay...
Not faulting him at all for the title winning season. I was mainly correcting the incorrect comment that he was responsible for the great escape that we can agree on... Ranieri did way more than take on a team "already flowing with confidence" John ... we were amongst the favourites to be relegated at the start of the season - whilst the "great escape" was phenomenal, we need to keep that in perspective too. We only played one of the top 6 in that 9 game run, Chelseas, and we lost 3-1. Ranieri put his faith in players that would not have been exactly flowing in confidence in Vardy, Drinky and Simpson and made them almost guaranteed starters - Vardy, crucially, as the focal striker rather than as a wide left option as he had been the season before. Ranieri's record against the top clubs, Arsenal aside, was quite incredible - and down to his tactical nous.

Apparently we haven't made a bid for George Thomas - he has been left out the Coventry squad for their preseason trip to Spain but is apparently due to insurance reasons though.
Unfortunately can see him leaving as he is a #9 and we are about to sign another one in Iheanacho. The Mirror is reporting that we will complete Iheanacho deal this week but have also made Islam Slimani available ... who knows?
If this deal works at the same speed that Spuds were chasing us down to try and win the title, then Nacho will be signed for us before Levy has even considered the offerMan City have offered him in a player + cash deal for Kyle Walker and Spurs are open to it as they want to get rid of Janssen.

Roma are reportedly interesting in Mahrez - apparently we will be willing to negotiate with a foreign team.
We are also close to signing Oxford United left winger Marvin Johnson for £2M - bit steep for a 26yr old L1 player but market is stupid atm. Not sure what that will mean for Gray who has been promised more game time.

I'd take £40m, especially if its abroad.Yep, apparently Roma have opened up with a. 30m bid. If we can get them up to 35m with an extra 5-8m in add ons, let's do the deal.
Best for all concerned
