If Gelhardt comes back my “where will we finish “ will move up a place or three, I’m going for sneaking into the top 6 or a heartbreaking a point outside where we’ll all say if only the ball had gone in off the post and not out for a goal kick..
I thought someone said he was in the last year of his contract though. Unless they force through a sell in January.I think the Gelhardt move makes some sense for Leeds long-term as well as the player. If he has another great spell in the Championship he’ll be worth more than he is now and he’ll probably catch the eye of teams better than he currently is, such as a Premier League side.

i'd be annoyed if we sold kamara, but everything is pointing towards us selling him
His wages doubled due to promotion so they want him off the books.I don't understand the Gelhardt deal at all.
I do from our point of view, obviously, but on the face of it, it seems a terrible arrangement for Leeds?
Does he wear a 12?Gelhardt seems like the perfect 10 for how the new manager plays. I’m very happy with that
Hull Live: "The Liverpudlian is out of contract in West Yorkshire next summer"He’s contracted to summer 2027. He’d still have another year left. At which point they could extend his contract to get a bigger fee.

Baz got it wrong AGAIN.
Summed up nicely. Going to be a long old season for some. Whilst most of us will be enjoying a great season with a good set of players hopefully turning in decent performances under a manager that seems to have a watchable style, others will be sat grinding their teeth staring at the Directors box praying for lightening. So to recap, we're going bust, Acun has no money, we can't pay the players without some mysterious bank deposit from abroad, we haven't paid some local suppliers for months, we owe loads of other clubs money for players we bought or loaned, we're asking for money up front on players we sold rather than the usual staged payments, can't afford a new kit for this season so will carry on using last years, sanctioned by the EFL so we can't buy anyone, a wages cap and every deal has to be sanctioned by them.
On the other hand.
We've paid someone to fit some safe standing rails, re jigged the exit so we don't get the mass exodus walking pitch side, got a new kit which looks OK especially the away one, the new manager seems to be getting more out of players that were poor last season, we've had a good preseason, brought in good players (including the next Messi and Ronaldo as always) got rid of some over paid wasters.
The future is bright, the future is orange.
Turns out he isn't, he's got another year after this season.
Who are these people Jim?Summed up nicely. Going to be a long old season for some. Hull Live saying next summer but wouldn't be the first time they were wrong.
We can't offer a signing on bonus either ATM, so that will have to be added onto the weekly wages tooWe are paying over the odds because he’s also wanted by three other teams, plus if the ban isn’t lifted there just isn’t many quality striking options left for free.
Maybe Leeds have an option.
I don't know how you can say there is 'realistically little or no resale value on McBurnie' If he is a roaring success and scores us 15/20 goals this season, which is what we all hope then other cubs will be beating a path to our door to buy him. There's realistically little to no resale value on McBurnie too.
I'm not against the deal but I can certainly understand both points of view
