Experience is all good and well and needed but how will Bulut know if any of the kids are up to it if they’re shunted off to the scotch league on loan or kept in the junior teams. Bagan for example showed great promise but where did he go last year when we had left back issues?

There will be a huge amount of competition for places in the under 21's starting elevens. Got to be a good thing.
Hopefully those in charge of the under 21's will recognise quality and get them shunted up to the first squad like the lads last year.
Obviously not all will make but those with ability will rise to the top.

I'd much rather us use youngsters to pad out the squad than journeyman.
It gives them a taste of what is to come and exposure as to how to manage themselves and prepare.
It helps them develop and become part of the set up, and if they're good enough.....
Mark Harris didn't make the final step up with us, but I'd rather him in the squad as a youngsters than a 30 year old on a bigger salary and is no better.
