He’s the owner it’s what he does
Just my opinion
Unfortunately I think before he came back from his pre season long hiatus to Fenerbache the rest of the board/brain team showed they couldn’t get deals over the line. He clearly has a woo factor needed to attract players to us which has always been a struggle

I don’t think that these first three games have taught us a lot to be honest. The three teams we’ve played are not going to bother the top half of the table and the amount of missed chances by all three (which wouldn’t have been missed by better teams) means we could currently be on zero points with a goal deficit of 4 or 5. But we’re not. We’ve actually defended ok on the whole and Pandur has looked promising.

All the recent new signings (ie those that had no preseason) have looked raw and not up to speed. Hopefully they’ll improve a lot. The ‘more established’ new signings have looked the part but it’s obvious that we’re missing an attacking threat big time. Nigh on 5 hours of football and we’ve 1 well worked goal to our name and a gift from Bristol in the first game.

Walterball is supposed to be of the you score three we’ll score four variety. We’re nowhere near that and it’s not clear how we get there any time soon.

I honestly think that Walter could be gone by November. I obviously hope not and want him to turn it round but I’m not seeing too many positive signs. The next couple of games either side of a lengthy break are going to be crucial.

As ever, just my opinion, which if you don’t like, you are welcome to either comment on or ignore.

Jarvis should be kept depending on what other winger we bring in
Hes still raw
And he will have bad games where he feels anonymous

But then against bristol city and millwall
Him and millar on opposite sides works really well

In the first half with omur out wide and hes not a wideman
Caused an imbalance and millar couldnt really get into the game

Having that wideplayer on the oppositr side
Stretches the opposition more to allow both wingers more space
And jarvis just loves to run at players
Yes his final ball can be massively be improved
But hes such a good sub to bring on
Even though he will have frustrating performances

Plus hes only got about 4 or 5 apps at this level
Hes still massively learning
I thought Jarvis was excellent yesterday. Changed the game playing on the right. I’d definitely keep him and play him more regularly. He’s got good skills, beat his man regularly. He’ll come on leaps and bounds now he’s got better coaching :emoticon-0105-wink:

Takeaway his charm and his good pr and acun is a mental foreign owner isn’t he.

Bit harsh, ploughs as much money in as he can and tries to keep fans happy.

Free travel, kids days, wants attacking football, open and honest, signs (for the most part) good players.

He's a quality owner.

I understand your worries. But I’d say the Stoke and Cardiff home games after are the ones to tell us where we are really at. I’d have not expected anything from Leeds or Sheff Utd under Rosenior.

Fair enough, but two games against two of the better sides in the league, whilst they may not increase our points total, will indicate whether we have the potential to play at a top six level or not.

Agree not much to shout about, but we were always going to struggle with the attack quality we have at present. Hopefully we get another Philogene late on again…

Is oscar leaving on a perm?
Wonder what fee

He is and it’s “undisclosed”. Bahia agreed £3m with us but I doubt they’d have exercised that anyway given he was at best an impact sub for them. I suspect it’s a fair bit less than that this time, and we’d be lucky to get £1m.

The Brain team are looking to bring additional wingers / midfielders into the squad - Gustavo Puerta looks an astute signing along with Zambrano, Meffert would give us a bit of bite in the midfield. Signing a proper right winger would allow Abdus to move into a central role which would suit his style of play. So that leaves the question of Slater - would you sell him to balance the books as he isn't going to be getting much game time?

Sheff Utd could do with some cash as well as there must be a sell-on in the original £50K deal.

Im almost sure slater will get more appearances this season than puerta and zambrano

How much has he “ploughed in” of his own money ? That remains to be seen
And the rest is exactly what i said great PR and it’s good he does it.
But we’ve just got rid of a full team
That is not good
And if we don’t get promoted I imagjne he’ll do the same again next summer

Please correct me if I’m wrong, but in terms of proper wingers, am I right in thinking we have Millar, Jarvis and Longman…and that’s it? I believe Acun said we are looking at a couple more, but I would say this is the absolute minimum needed.

Cooper is poor on the ball, slow and his best days (as average as they were) behind him. He became a liability for Leeds and his body is falling apart. Currently he is worse than all the centre backs we have. Also, a Leeds fan from Hull - so a proper ****. He will be instantly disliked by most fans - an easy boo boy.

Can’t understand this signing one bit.

It is a bit puzzling. He must have been decent playing for Bielsa who's no mug. From what I remember he seemed to spend a lot of time out injured so it's a good fit for the brain team getting someone on the cheap who isn't expected to play that often. Plan Z.

Isn't PR most of football ownership though? It's like saying take away Usain Bolts pace and he's just a bloke.

Fair enough, if we're up to PSR then he's spent as much money he has access to as he can.

Are there any players aside from Seri or Tufan that we didn't expect or want to leave? Yeah it's not a great plan if it's every year but we haven't been settled yet, we've gone from 15th to being disappointed with 7th which requires a lot of turnover to raise the floor. We plugged gaps in quality with loans, which is short term but we've tried to replace with permanents this year for more of a long term outlook.

Or are we keeping Woods, Fleming, Doc etc for the good of continuity?
