Hence the discussion around get him signed.... though at this stage the club are protecting themselves by loaning. What other aspects of the agreement, we do not know...

This is serious, he won't get away with months if that's the case. 2 to 4 years ban is possible which is basically end of career in top flight football no matter how young you are.

I think Acun and anyone else would have known about all reports on the issue and they obviously believe it is not as serious as it is made out and think Zambrano will come through,I doubt very much they would have pursued him if they thought that the punishment if any would or could be 2 to 4 year ban but they covered themselves with the deal by saying it contained protection if the worst happened in other words he would go back.

Have we actually had any confirmation from a reputable source that there is an option in the Zambrano deal? You'd hope so, based on what's been said about his potential, but I don't recall the club or Baz mentioning it.

Thought he said it on one of the 1904 eps.
