New owner, Michael Knighton, sat with him, payment to follow. :emoticon-0138-think

Good move. As long as he doesn't run onto the KC pitch, heading the ball, before volleying it into the south stand goal, and wearing those tight shorts!!

But if that's the case why spend £1.5m on a pitch? Why bring Oscar back on massive wages? The lad's useless unless he's in the penalty box and why take a punt on a manager that plays kamikaze football who's never had any real success as a manager? Keep it safe, stable, and target players in L1/L2 to fill the squad out as they're cheap and there are plenty of decent players.
First off, he isn't "useless unless he's in the penalty box". That's a ridiculous thing to say. Secondly, Oscar at £20k a week = £1 mill for the season. How much do you think it would cost to instead go out and buy and then pay the wages for a decent striker who can score goals?

You want it to be like this forum where only the opinions which meet with the approval of those in charge and their lickspittles are considered acceptable?
Nope, I just don’t think now is the time for people to be asking about whether Harry Vaughan is the second coming of George Best or whether they can get a joint City and FC pass…

Won’t be as bad as back in the Christopher Needler days when we were in danger of going out of business and the first question at the AGM in the gym was from some old bloke about who should take our corners. As if that had anything to do with the owner. And back then there were questions about catering and the toilets. It made you despair.

İn which case, is it actually a Q&A for public consumption? Or just a more routine sponsors' event?

Good question. If it is for sponsors then rationally, you would expect this to be a stablising mission given the uncertainty and the state of the first team squad.

That, or even having looked at the free agent list at the end of the season and having a few ready to sign the dotted line on contract expiry. We got Drameh after weeks, but willock i thought would've been already made a done deal before the season ended, plus a couple more.

But i felt the same with the manager. When Rosie got **** canned, whether you agreed and the time or not I at least expected that they had a replacement lined up. But no, we were scrabbling round trying to find a manager with no real idea who they would want as a transfer target.

Im sure by the end of the transfer window we'll have a squad with no danger of a relegation fight- but after finishing 7th (and sacking the manager) and getting 30m for 2 players I'd have wished that wasn't the target.

That simply isn't true.
They had Walter identified as their man from the off. It then took a bit of time, but not that long at all in the scheme of things, to come to agreement with him, and his chosen assistants, to sort out the contracts and other paperwork. And then Walter also had a family holiday arranged.
During that process of course they would also have been talking plans & targets etc
