None of those examples are anywhere near close!!
Even the 2015 one. At this stage it was 15 out, which included 7 that hadn't been and wouldn't be anywhere near first team!
And that's before the other stuff, like totally new coaching team and system.

If he hadn't been signed it would be another position to fill, but he has, so it isn't (unless he goes to Boro, which is looking increasingly unlikely).

Any other clues will help relieve a boring day at work where I can then spend most of the time speculating amongst myself.

Bingo! You weren’t curious at all. You just wanted to pick holes in whatever came back. What a way to live a life.

It was a genuine question.
Am I really not allowed to comment back on replies? If a reply had come back that gave an example of a situation as 'extreme' as this I'd probably have replied with some comment acknowledging that. But they didn't (imo). I'd genuinely be curious to know. I remember well the Allam / Bruce fall out that left Phelan with a bare squad, but imo even that is nothing like this situation (acknowledging fully that it may well look quite different come the end of the window, but at this stage ...).
How weird.
 
If they are going to announce 1 or 2 signings today the club is keeping it very quiet, as there's still nothing being leaked about an imminent signing in the media today. If the signing is that close (I.e. today) there's usually some leakage to the press by now.

Baz and Mike White both on holiday. Plus the club seem stupidly quiet on these things now.

People I used to ask and they were on the money with signings have zero clue. One of them even joked it was Adam Le Fondre as the experienced striker
 
A striker being announced with absolutely no name being leaked?! It’s like the good old days.
