Still incredibly high.
I guess so, think Benjo has put it pretty well. We’ve over doubled our investment on essentially a loan… they clearly had long term plans for him hence the buy back clause. They were reluctant to let him go in the first place so I doubt we had much of a choice if we were to land him… this is the reality of shopping in this market versus bargain shopping

So Villa if they are cheeky can match the £18m Ipswich have offered but with 30% off as a sell-on.

They can then immediately sell him to Ipswich for the £18m already agreed and add in another 30% sell on for themselves and an option to match and buy back.

****ing genius.....

If they've matched our fee, surely that would include selling fees and clauses as they're very much part of the deal?

And whether he goes direct or via villa exercising their buyback, the sellon is still 30%.

I suspect the advantage for villa might be some sort of FFP workaround.

Oscar is very good on the ball in terms of carrying and keeping possession. His first touch was a bit off, but to be fair that season you could say that about a lot of them, it seemed we had boots made of silly putty at times. Either way, we lamented the lack of a finisher in the box last season and now we've got one in the squad again. Good move in my opinion.
After his flying start with us, hasn’t he scored 2 goals since dec 22 (both with City and then after)?

I'd be very surprised if a price match clause included any add-ons in future contracts with other clubs.

Of course i have absolutely no idea I'm just speculating to avoid worrying about the semi.

In the link I posted earlier, I read it as Villa need to match any bid we receive over and above £15m if we are in the pl……we aren’t in the pl so that clause isn’t active. So I’m not sure why Villa need to buy him to then loan out.
They will get there % come what may

Im sure Tan said they would still be able to match any fee we were offered, just the pre arranged 15m buyback fee was only active in the same division.

If I understand what you’re saying then they haven’t got any advantage while we are in the championship. Anyone could match what we are offered, then jaden decides
