Are people really having a meltdown because we haven't signed any players ... on July 7th?
I think people are more concerned at the silence. However I’d much prefer this over the chaos of the first summer with every deal leaked

My concern is we leave it late. Have to fill up squad with loan players again. Everyone thinks it’s great when in reality it’s a shallow as it was last season.

We now have a golden goose of an opportunity selling Jaden and Greaves. I couldn’t care when they come in, ideally yes I’d like them in sooner but so be it, but we need to build a core of decent permanent signings. Something which this ownership structure hasn’t shown a sign of doing yet.

Think worryingly we're some way short of a decent starting xi atm.

Pandur
Coyle Jones Sean Giles/Jacob
Seri Slater
Lokilo Omur Sinik
Longman

That's probably our strongest lineup and about 50% aren't good enough
and there's a fair chance 2, 3 or 4 of those players won't stay (Sinik, Lokilo, Longman, Giles)!!
I'd like to see Longman given a chance, could be a useful squad player.
Reality is that it's an utter **** show atm.
Penny for the thoughts of our better senior players, like Jones, Seri, and Omur. I still wouldn't be in the least bit surprised if 1 or 2 unexpected departures still happen due to a player(s) now thinking they'd be better elsewhere (Seri for example). They must surely wonder wtf is going on around them as they see the squad being absolutely decimated (albeit ahead of a rebuild).

The bids that of come in since the Ipswich news was conveniently leaked are higher and much more realistic and all included a double digit sell on. One potentially includes a loan to us of a sweetener, but that's being handled separately and won't influence if the player says no
So much for this..
