Debt is irrelevant, man utd have a ton of it. Their new owner will service the debt and look to spend.
Man United’s debt is slightly less than Everton’s and they have three times the revenue.
If the deal goes through, then they’re laughing, if it doesn’t they’re in bother.
My point was that debt has no bearing on FFP or their ability to offer 16m for Philogene. As someone has said their new owner has injected funds and is looking to make a quick purchase. They also have Branthwaite money to spend and just did a dodgy player swap with villa to circumvent FFP.

It's been well documented he's put the funds into Everton already to clear a £165m debt and provide working capital. He must be reasonably confident of completing a deal otherwise he'll just become another creditor.
Atalanta have just signed Ben Godfrey, CB and FB from Everton for £10 million.

Which beggars the question...Who is paying for the new stadium? Unless they've already struck a naming rights deal with say 'Qatar Airlines' or some such, but even then that wouldn't clear the debt.
Saints fans here - I see both Saints and Hull are keen on Liam Delap. We have been linked to him for a few years now and believe we actually had a bid rejected by man city before he got loaned to stoke.

He’s probably in need of another championship season to break the 15 goal mark for the season which I definitely think he would if he did again.
Everything you could ask for in a modern striker really.
Pace, dribbling ability, link up play. Just needs to start being more consistent in his shooting but he’s always going to score goals because of how well he strikes a ball.
Not sure what you mean. I said the financial issues WEREN'T to do with not having enough money. You can have other sorts of financial issues.. In this case it was literally them spending too much money for the league's rules which is the opposite of not having enough money.
They may well do a Spurs and just put it on an interest only deal for 30 years or whatever.
I honestly think he'll be the next Kane in terms of his ability to turn and run with the ball at feet and his mobility/skill for a tall striker. He definitely needs to become more prolific, but it didn't click for Kane for a few years either.
As others have said, he's not an out and out goalscorer. That's the one weakness in his game as a striker, he isn't always in the right place at the right time, although I think he worked on that during his time with us.
He is freakishly good at other things though. The way he can receive the ball with his back to goal, turn and leave defenders for dust is like no other player I've seen. He's strong and likes to get physical with defenders, but it's his speed when running with the ball that's incredible. Maybe in the PL defenders will deal with it better, but at Championship level he's unplayable in those situations.
He likes to really strike the ball hard, but he doesn't always get it right. At times for us he was waiting too long for an opportunity to shoot and at other times he was blasting it too early. He tends to catch it really well but it's often off target.
He's a massive threat at this level and has a huge amount of potential. Like Syd said, you could see it clicking for him at some point in a Kane-type way and him becoming a really top striker. Once he figures out his positioning as a goalscorer and when and how to get his shots off, he'll be about there.
Good to hear Olly Green has found a club, always rated him and was a bit surprised he was released.
