We already announced that we'd released him a month or so ago didn't we? Edit: yes we did https://www.wearehullcity.co.uk/news/2024/may/18/retained-list-confirmed/
We had this last year with Sonny Bradley. Honestly, this nostalgic ‘jobs for the boys’ thing we’ve got going on is really tinpot. Dawson was fine. Rosenior I questioned the decision to appoint him to begin with due to his lack of experience, we’ve got Rocco Coyle, Stan Ashbee and Dawson’s son in the academy and we tried signing Sonny Bradley a year ago and someone’s heard that Liam Cooper is being considered I’ve even seen posts on here wanting Barmby back in a coaching role and even Windass for ****’s sake.
Id like to see windass and barmby as co managers like the crowley bros They kno the club n area Passion lads
Maybe but do you not think that maybe their name is a reason why they’ve been named on the first-team bench over others? I’m not saying they aren’t good but with the way Sellars runs the academy from what I’ve heard, a culture of favouritism and nepotism at the club isn’t out of the question.
From what everybody is saying about his tactics he'll be playing right wing so definitely a different player
Surely he doesn't decide the 1st team bench though, they might've had more favourable opportunities to train with the first team but I'd assume it's up to the gaffer to decide who he wants to use
Assuming we really are interested in Cooper and were interested in Bradley a year ago, is it really likely that Acun, Tan and Rosenior/Walter would be doing it on the basis that they played a handful of games for us over 10 years ago? I think coincidence is more likely. If you sign 15 players every summer and are linked to dozens more, the odd one is going to be a local or former player somewhere along the line.
I heard down the Bandy club wer'e in for Bradley Cooper. He feels teaming up with Walter will allow a real star to be born and he'll be a total American sniper in front of goal.
