Do we know how much we payed for Omur? One detail about Tufan transfer, even if Hull announce Tufan transfer as disclosed fee, Trabzonspor have to explain it to stock exchange and will be available via this link.
I take your point, which on the face is a concern, but It depends, I looked at Burnley who the season they got promoted with Kompany, compared the team with the season before under Dyche and it is unrecognisable.
Kompany brought in players to suit his way of style, and the team was virtually completely different to the season before. He got them promoted and were the best team in the league that season.
So it can be done, it is not a dissimilar situation we have with TW coming in, it is all about recruitment now, if they get it right.
Yes, Burnley had parachute payments to use and got £25m for Woods, but they didn't spend heavily, their biggest signing was Twine, and had 6 loans, the best of which was Tella, so if we did sell either Greaves or Jaden, then our positions wouldn't be too far away budget wise.
I, for one, are looking forward to what develops.
How long is it?
Norwood would be a very good signing.I meant more the transfer fee. Obviously whether Norwood would be feasible depends on his wage demands - but regardless - someone of his experience and quality on a shorter term contract - would be more preferable to me to a player we've got to pay a fee for and maybe sign on a longer term deal that we can't get shut of in future as they don't work out (Lokilo).
We're going to have to go for a blend of punts/experience (wages medium to high and fee low) and big signings - otherwise we won't be able to get a large enough squad together in one window.
it's the same reason that we are nailed on to sell Greaves. Pure profit accountable immediately from an FFP perspective, with incomings spread over a number of years. The deals Chelsea, Villa and Everton are doing right now are crazy. They all need to sell players for PSR reasons. Whereas buying players can mean the transfer fee can amortised over the length of the contract, selling players means the profit you receive immediately counts as income for that year.

The more I think about this Tufan business the more insane it becomes.
Either, the reported fee is total bollocks, or there’s some brown envelopes being passed around somewhere.
Either way, even if the player wants the move, there’s no way I can see the club letting him go for such a paltry sum. There’s gotta be a lot more going on there. If we’re in a tight FFP position the absolute last thing we would be doing is giving away one of our most talented and valuable assets for next to **** all.
I think we just have to trust the club with this one.
This is where I think it is. His family lived in London I thinkHis wife may have wanted a move back to Turkey. I wouldn’t underestimate the influence players’ spouses and families have on transfers.
