Which player do you think we miss most? Although I guess the headline ones would be Philogene, Carvalho and Greaves, for me the guy we miss most is Tufan. He always offered the threat of a goal from midfield, sometimes out of nothing. That's what we lack.

Although perhaps it's Seri. We really miss his leadership and skill, even though he could often get caught on the ball.

I wonder if we'd tried harder, whether we could have kept both of those players, and had an easier transition.

Tufan was a decent threat going forward, but Seri was just a pass on the edge of the box player, he was no good with pace, his passes were sideways, highly overrated from the moment he set foot in the club IMO!

If we had kept hold of them both we wouldn’t have been able to sign the likes of Palmer and Mehlem.

Absolutely agree. His ability to turn and run created so much space. Philogene used to stand on the ball and sap the pace out of the game just as much as kamara, he just had more ability to create something out of nothing. But delap was who made a lot of games entertaining last season. It's no coincidence our most dour patch of games came while he was out injured.

We all know their limitations and the past is in the past but if we were rumoured to be signing players with these stats there would definitely be a few people getting excited. How much better off are we now? Also, in a strange twist Tetteh has ended up at Maribor (Acun’s other club). Definitely nothing unusual about that.

Oscar surely is a better striker than what we've got and he seems to be a pretty good fit for what Walter wants from his strikers too. But he wanted to leave unfortunately.

Seri was a big player for us last season. Hardly wasted a pass and was a touch of quality in midfield. He had a mistake in him of course but I don't see anything that comes close to him this season.
Huge mistake letting him go.
Agree about Tufan too.
