Yes, it's been very clear throughout this window that we're targeting the same players as the likes of Boro and Coventry and consistently being turned down in favour of those clubs. We obviously aren't as attractive externally as we think we are.

I think the main striker targets we’ve missed out on all have moved to better teams, and then in Cannon’s case a loan doesn’t suit us which is what he insisted on.
Kieffer Moore - parachute payments, bigger contract, relegated premier league side. Easy choice really.
BTA - Coventry better team at present, he’s also not that good so not too fussed we missed out.

I'm glad you're not one of those people who does not know the difference between 'of' and 'off'. That could have been a very different statement.
I wonder if we'll try for Stansfield.. Maybe Fulham can agree to at least a loan with an option to buy..

Sorry guys I am still reading 20 pages back, do not spoil it.
It seems to me that whenever we miss out on a target...It's for the best/best all round or they were sh!t anyway and we could do so much better.
Incidentally,I'm not huge on loans either(1 or 2 serious players that can improve us dramatically maybe),nor am I keen on buying players in and immediately discussing how much we can make on selling them on for.
To have any chance of progressing this Club in the right direction and to produce good/entertaining Football going forward,we need to be buying players with a view to keeping them...I've saw no evidence of that happening under Illicali.
