Well I presume that no-one offered more, so it's a bit of a moot point. It did drag on for a while with Ipswich.
It did also mean that we could focus on getting Hughes in before anyone else did. Maybe that's why they weren't so bothered.

Surely its going to be more than 3. We're in for Palmer, Kamara, Doak and Rushworth.. thats 4 but then we still need a striker and a defensive mid. Im not bothered about Palmer or the keeper but we need 2 wingers a striker and a proper out-and-out defensive midfielder for once.

If we are refusing to pay a bit more to try to get incoming deals over the line quickly, then I feel confident that we will have tried to eek out as much as we can when selling, taking into account add ons and also the wider picture. I think the EFL restriction for new owners has really hamstrung us, and probably forced us into getting the selling business done quickly, so we can operate in the market.

Yeah id keep Macca, at least till January. Start with Hughes & Jones with Macca, Ashbee, Smith & Burns as backup options. It's not blessed with experience but if you bring in someone older they're going to want to play.. then you're dropping Hughes or Jones..
At least wait until bedtime to wet the bed.
