Proven goalscorers
Im not going to list 20 paragraphs why though
Unless youre a scout at city
And or want to pay me for my '****ty analysis ha

Im not sure we’d bring in someone that age for a fee, as it’s unlikely you’d get the fee back later. I think anyone experienced that comes in will be a free transfer or a loan, so the cost would all be in wages.

It's less than a third of his appearances, I'm not sure why it's being made out to be more than it was. He also scored against Leicester while playing out there and against Birmingham while playing there, so it's not as if he was shunted out there and it ruined his play.
It’s more so suggesting he hasn’t pulled up trees because of his goal tally when he’d obviously get less good chances out there

You've brought up a player we haven't been linked to who plays in the MLS, is in the completely wrong profile, it's as if you've just picked a name out of a hat. So forgive me for wanting you to expand on why you've gone on about him two days in a row.

He’ll have loads of suitors, relegated clubs and those who sell will all be after him. He’ll be a 20+ striker in a season or 2. He’s absolutely pulled trees up this season, just because there is no goal after a game doesn’t change that either.

Especially when you factor in he’s played equal games right wing as he has striker
Tbh I can’t see relegated prem clubs risking a signing like that, they’ll be wanting a proven goal scorer to get back up on the first try.

Connolly started the season so brightly, it’s a shame it came to this.

Ultimately, a one year deal was the right thing to do. Shame we spaffed millions on him in transfer fees, agent fees etc.

It’s still quite a few regardless. He doesn’t get much service either when you look at his goals, quite a few are opposition mistakes, Norwich and Brum, then a few solo efforts.

Either way all his data suggests if he’s given a lot of chances he will score goals. He’s the best performing striker in the division for % of shots hitting the corners of the goal.

That's surprising, I don't particularly think of precise finishing as being his big strength.

The problem is

We cant afford a 20 goal a season championship striker

Look at whitaker at plymouth
He will cost a fortune in the summer
Same with piroe last summer

Id like him

Delapd all around play is fantastic and i think he will score more and more
Hes gonna dominate the championship very soon
Hope its with us
And thats why we should go all out for Delap if the clubs policy is to buy and sell..WHEN he becomes the finished article, its name your price time...

My point was that – on paper – they weren't miles apart before they joined us. Delap's stats didn't exactly suggest he'd be a player we'd all want at the end of the season. That's all.
Hmmn.
One's a hot prospect on Man City's books, the other isn't!
Both near enough the same age. Delap's potential recognised and rewarded with a 3 year contract extension by them. Whereas both Man U and Man C decided against keeping him, as then did Leipzig, and then Vitesse!.
So, yes, miles apart.
Having said that, I'm still hoping Ohio could be one for next season for us. Signing him for this 2nd half of the season, along with Sharp, has proved extremely poor decision making. Maybe, just maybe, we see value from the mistake though next season (a mistake as, along with Sharp, he was signed to play THIS season).

I thought both were only deals to the end of this season.
