The new 3yr deal was to protect ilus incase he did very well etc, plus give LR a confidence boost to go out and deliver on his KPIs. I doubt LR wasn't aware of what was expected
Comments above suggest he wasn't if he was planning fan forums and other events over the next months. Tan only days ago: Lying through his teeth.
When he was interviewed... a question was raised about LR being poached... his response was 'he's a good coach'... he didn't say he's not going anywhere, or he's an exceptional coach, I thought it a bit hmmmmm at the time...
It's the clip I just posted. He specifically says "We like Liam, we like the job he's doing". Didn't need to say that.
I agree, and this is a good point. They never really struck up a fluid partnership and that is probably a bigger thing than either wide players individual ability. Two average wide players with a great understanding will always perform better than two high level players playing as individuals. As a recent example just look how good Fleming was when playing with KLP, he’s not managed to perform anywhere close to that level since.
Do you expect a change in direction now, I mean so far all discussions were made according to Liam's needs, but from now on transfers will be in the hands of Acun and I do not expect a manager decision soon, it will be on hang for a month at least.
Manages Reims in the French first division. Not sure what they’re like as a club structure wise but he’s highly rated, adaptable manager.
As someone else said, he's another who'd need time to learn and develop. Not much different and not really a results now kind of manager.
I wonder if 23/24 would be different if Delap was fit as I don't think his play supplemented Tufan or Cavalho
Well this thread can be closed for a few weeks until we have a new manager in place!!!! No transfer business will be done in the short term now
