That long list of 5 is a shocking indictment of where we are at, 3 weeks before k.o.
Omur is a very good player, but does he have the end product to get into a parachute/top 3 side?
He hasn't proven that yet.
Id say we have a core of squad players with a few more added to that list.
Id say Giles (assuming he stays) Macca, Jones, Coyle, Slater, Seri, Omur, Longman and Oscar are all decent enough to contribute this season.
But we need another keeper, another centre half, another RB. a proper no 6 type that's Tan has said Walter wants, another no 9, a striker who'll run the channels and a pair or 3 of wingers at the very least to create a capable team to push top 6.
I've listed 8 or 9 obvious holes and the boards stated expectation is to sign those kinds of numbers this window.
Yes we could do with some of them in the next couple of weeks if we're going to be competitive on day 1, but there's no reason why we shouldn't get the numbers by the deadline.
