Dunno how often you've watched a game at pitch level, let alone done that whilst sweating your bollocks off and coughing your lungs up, but it's a very different perspective than when you're watching from your vantage point in the stadium or from your sofa watching the telly.

It comes with experience. He's got plenty of time to improve.

How many times have you sat at pitch level sweating your bollocks off and coughing your lungs up? what causes you to do that? Never seen anyone sat there doing that, personally.

Stood by him when we did not need to....how? Have I missed something?

I was under the impression the loan could have been cancelled due to the extent of the injury and i was also under the impression we had discussed all options with Man City, if i am wrong then my bad but pretty sure we did discuss it with them about the options.

"This is a nice thing to hear, but my focus is just on training and showing the manager that I do deserve to be here. I just want to focus on the next game, try to play another part in the next game and see how it goes," Ohio told Hull Live when Rosenior's comments were put to him.

"I'm sure at the end of the season, whatever happens regarding my future at Hull City, (talks) will take place and I don't think there's any rush of that, but, you know, it's nice to hear the manager say those nice things about me. It's about me being consistent now and doing the right things in training and showing everybody that I can play at this level and I can play consistently at this level."

As it stands, Ohio will return to Liege this summer where he has a contract until the summer of 2026, but he says a move to the MKM Stadium permanently may well be on the cards.

"Yes, for sure (he'd like to stay)," he said. "I think the fans have taken to me well, I think the club has taken to me well, so it's something I would definitely think about and speak to my family about. For now, it's about just doing the right things daily and when that comes after the 26th of May after the play-off final, we'll speak about it."

You can't cancel a loan just because a player gets injured, if you commit to paying his wages for a season, you need to do so.

Unfortunately not, you can't just cancel a season long loan due to injury. We still needed to pay the full loan few and agreed wages

Cheers :emoticon-0148-yes:.

Sorry taking my thumbs up back now as i was right to a point if you read the post and article it did suggest it was discussed and it also suggests we was given an option that Tan and Acun made a decision on :emoticon-0100-smile.

Despite some saying it was very unlikely we'd see him again this season and that Man City could just deem him unfit to play, he is back in the side and he is playing. That is to no one's benefit other than us and the player (so long as he doesn't re-injure) so from that perspective we have 'stood by him' rather than just ruling him out with injury and sending him back for rehabilitation (while still paying his wage).

I was looking at this article which made me assume he could have gone back or loan cancelled maybe Man City gave us the option?.

"I think I've got to show a great appreciation for everyone here, and I love it here," after the club opted to keep him on their books for the remainder of the season despite sustaining a knee problem on New Year's Day, and those feelings have since been reciprocated by his head coach.

"I have to give credit to Acun and Tan for making that decision. We felt it was the right thing to do, not just because it was Liam Delap, but he was fully engrossed and embedded in being a Hull City player. He cares so much and he still does now; he sees himself as a Hull City player."

Yeah I recall the debate on here a few months ago, and I still suspect there was a chance the loan could have been cancelled if both parties had agreed. We stuck by him and wanted to see him through his rehab if there was a chance he could play again, and we have.

I mentioned on my podcast last night but I think back in 2010/11 was it Daniel Ayala who went back to Liverpool who then didn't let him come back to resume his loan? Or am I misremembering? I remember at the time some controversy about his treatment.

I remember something along those lines with Ayala but can't recall it fully as i am an old bastard now and forget things easily.

Also reading that article it does suggest if Acun and Tan had made that decision then they must have been given options from Man City or why would they just have agreed when there was no need to..

Yes, to make a decision implies a choice or options. So I don't think it's as clear cut as some suggest.

Yes you missed that article which LR states Tan and Acun made the decision to keep him obviously after discussions with Man City :emoticon-0136-giggl.

How the do you think we'd react if Bahia called us tomorrow and said Oscar's injured, so we're sending him back, so you can pay him £20k a week instead?

Obviously a loan could be cancelled if both clubs agreed, but what possible incentive would Man City have for taking back the wage commitment for a player who got injured playing for us?

There's a difference between a 2-3 week injury and a 4 month injury quite clearly. The incentive is us not pushing for Delap to get back too quickly and putting him out for 6 months which then impacts on his prospects for next season.

Otherwise we should have just pushed him to play from the start of March and if he got re-injured so be it, not our issue.

When we need his firepower it's definitely our issue.
