Barca damage control, Romano isn’t wrong and was also confirmed by Acun. They have been pipped to a player by Ipswich ffs…

No chance we demand €30m for Jaden alone to be accepting exactly that for the pair of them ffs. We aren’t stupid when it comes to selling

I would hope we push it to 40m for the pair and that doesn't feel too far away from the value so if we could get that done relatively quickly and crack on with our own signings I'd be happy enough.

Judging by West Ham getting Kilman I'm guessing others interest has cooled. We need money now to get our window going. We tried our arm leaking a bunch of interest knowing Ipswich's bid as a baseline and we're now going back.

£35 million for both seems low.
They could buy the stadium, lock stock and barrel for less then that. Then borrow again on the bricks and mortar asset and really start to build up a club that is worth something.
Personally I'm not happy with all this transfer talk. Reminds me the early 70's when we sold Stuart Pearson to Manchester United. We got a good fee for him at the time, but sold him too early and to the first interested club. We did nothing with the money and the player they shifted onto us as makeshift in the deal, Peter Fletcher, was nothing special. I think we even agreed to a pre seaspn friendly with them as our 'add on'. City slid down the leagues after Pearson was sold and not a penny was used to improve the club in any way.
We squandered the cash we got for Maguire and Clucas and we were robbed blind over the Robertson deal. The KLP sale simply kept the asking price of the club down so as to attract a buyer, and it did, and how did we benefit from the Bowen money? Seems none of these big transfers have added a penny of value to the club.
I can see the Greaves and Philogene cash going exactly the same way if we are not careful.
No-one can tell me that we will be a better, stronger club without those two in the squad.
And I know we cannot hang onto them when the big clubs come calling, but we will never be a 'big club' ourselves until we add some real value to the club in bricks and mortar and no-one seems to be willing to even consider that option.

From the HDM it sounds like we're happy to take a bit less money for the sake of getting it done sooner, which probably makes sense even if it isn't what we want to hear.
