Perhaps Philogene's contract has a clause that allows him to talk to a bigger club?

As an inducement to persuade him to sign last season.

Surely his agent can talk to whoever he wants. I'm sure most agents are touting all of their players here there and everywhere as that's how they make money.

A loan would be absolutely dire for us and of no benefit as many have said. We'd lose one of our best players and get no FFP benefit to replace him.

The Franco-Malian Kalidou Sidibé, 25, arouses many lusts. According to the information collected by our Africafoot editorial staff, two English clubs are interested in Guingamp's young defensive midfielder.

Kalidou Sidibé is currently in talks with Hull City. The English club, which failed to reach its goal of entering the Premier League for the 2023/24 season, made an offer for the 2.02-metre long midfielder to strengthen its central midfielder.

Hull City occupies seventh place in the standings, far from its main objective. The Tigers are targeting the slender midfielder of Malian origin to compensate for the possible departure of Scottish international Greg Docherty, whose contract expires on July 1, 2024, and the bad form of Adama Traoré, whose rumours indicate a transfer. The Tigers have their eyes on Kalidou Sidibé to prepare for the 2023/24 season for a return to the Premier League.

The player, who would like to take up a challenge in England, has no shortage of contenders, since Blackburn also wants to integrate him into his squad this summer. The Blackburn Rovers Football Club has expressed its interest in Kalidou Sidibé. The Rovers are in talks with the Paris FC under-19 trainee. A meeting between the two players to discuss his signature is expected soon.
2023/24 season???

So last season.

I would expect any deal to have enough in it right now for us to be able to replace him otherwise it is a pointless move. At the same time you cannot stand in the way of a player moving to a club like that. I'm sure if they are serious they will do enough to amke it worth our while.

Their number 1 target is williams
Either this summer or next
Jaden is a low risk high reward stopgap if they dont get williams
They wont do us any favours
Theyll attempt to get him as cheap as possible

Yeh I think its bad news for us if it's true, like you said they will squeeze us as much as possible but it's kind of hard for the club to stand in the way of him going to Barca so may well end up not getting the amount we would like.
