There's nothing wrong with having optimism, the problem for me is when posters get berated for not holding the same view. Everyone has a right to an opinion, and the forum is all the better for that diversity.
As for Tan and the various opinions about his stewardship of the club this past dozen years, there's no doubt we would have sunk into the mire without him or someone like him. Despite the past achievements of his tenure for which we should be extremely grateful, those successes were not consolidated. Some problems at the club emanate from his unwillingness to accomodate pure footballing ethics at the sharp end.
The financial affairs at the club should be rightly at his discretion, but that's where his involvement should end. We hear multiple stories about his attempts to involve himself in the day to day football management at CF11 which would be better left for those who understand that aspect of the business.
As for this coming season, I am also quite optimistic - probably more so this time since we last suffered Prem relegation. There's a sense of pupose under Bulut and his staff that hasn't been there since we came down. With a few exceptions, I like the look of the squad and with a couple (or 3) wise additions, there is no reason to fear the worst and every hope to achieve the best.
