It all seems very quiet on the transfers front. From what I can see, even WoL hasn't got any new rumours.
I'd like to think that Rambo is having a quiet word with Moore but Bournemouth will have the final say no doubt

Something defo going on with jck, takes a lot of stick, seems to enjoy it! It hurts Masky when fellow posters are rude, as one is sensitive to abuse, but think there’ more to jck than meets the beadies! Talking about beadies, how are you Clingo, BFB, BT and anyone else one can think of? :emoticon-0103-cool: Masky

'Tis good to see you posting regularly again O Masked one... got a bit concerned about you when you went quiet for a while... not like you at all. I was even wondering if Clingo may have taken a contract out on his love rival for a short while <yikes>

Back on topic, still hoping we get another centre back. Goutas does look the business from the brief highlights I've seen but as much as Simpson has done ok in pre-season he's still not quite convincing enough for me. In saying that, who knows, if he plays alongside Goutas regularly then maybe he'll show whatever qualities it is we supposedly saw in him in the first place (apart from him being left footed, which I swear was the reason Morison(?) gave for wanting him)?? Not that I'm wanting him to replace McGuinness though, but even he is prone to a few wobbles, so depth at the back will definitely be needed (steady on there Masky... no innuendo intended).

Great respect for Clingy, though the only contract he could take out is with Sky Sports as they are desperate, and would waive his shortcomings.....hmmmm, oh dear! More concerned about Aberdude TBH, would never turn my back on him, BFB warned me about the weapon he pulled out once.....hit him right in the eye apparently...but we don’t judge like the banks do! The only reason for posting is that my season ticket application offer is still unanswered,,,,,thought £22 was reasonable and fair, so twiddling various things to pass the time! :emoticon-0103-cool: Masky

That would be fine if we had any experts but you criticise who we have got, contradicts what you say.

I like what I've seen of Goutas too - looks a very controlling player and was very unlucky with the bounce of the ball for Porto's first goal. Definitely agree we need to strengthen at CB. When we first acquired McGuinness there was always a mistake in him waiting to happen but when he came back from the Wendies he seems to have become far more solid.

However, if either of those two is out through injury or even suspension, we are pretty thin on the ground unless you rate Simpson (I don't) or try to fit NG back in. I've heard a whisper that we're trying to arrange some sort of deal with Brom to get Kipre back.

Thinking of our striking options. Not great TBH. If Keifer isn’t coming and it’s not ideal to see how it pans out up to the end of August ie leaving it in Bournemouth’s court.

Perhaps City need to decide sooner rather than later whether to dance to Bournemouth’s tune or look elsewhere?

Anyone seen these internet rumours the CM player City are looking at is Ross Barkley?

Someone’s probably linked him with City due to Ramsey’s Nice connection.
