Can I just mention I am working on a drawing for a drummer at the open mic I go to, it is for a painting. The picture I am using has 7 cymbals and 7 drums plus stands so it is taking considerable time and effort which means i can only post when I take a coffee break. I used to post here many years ago but like a lot of people gave it a miss for a few years, it has not changed much same old faces.
Of course it counts. The only thing I would say however, is that how ever much it is, they're underpaying you.
Being owner, one incidentally who knows less about football than the majority of fans who pay to watch the team, does not justify inter meddling with the football side of the club. Any attempt by Tan to influence or question a football manager undermines his role. He wouldn’t accept one of his fast food outlet managers interfering with how he runs the franchise.
It is difficult to see how you find the fact bizarre that we won automatic promotion to the premier league on two occasions Then if last season was not a nightmare for you then you must have been more optimistic than myself we would avoid relegation.
This can be read two ways, either he would not accept a manager who does not run the franchise his way or he would not accept telling the manager how to run the franchise. Personally if I had a manager who I felt was not doing a good job I would replace him.
I see. Well we can do it again meaning we got promotion twice and we can do it again this season, get another promotion as we have done twice before.
Here's Tan's problem when it comes to football. “It doesn't make sense to hire smart people and then tell them what to do; we hire smart people so they can tell us what to do.” – Steve Jobs.
" Often heard that Steve Jobs had such a rude and abrasive personality trait that he would yell at his colleagues and team anytime if things didn’t go well or according to his expectations." do some research on the person instead of copying their own ego remarks.
Thanks for the advice, but no need for me to do any research. Many an arrogant or ignorant person has made very shrewd and telling observations. Rather than attack the character of Mr Jobs, diverting away from the comment, maybe you could share your thoughts about how the quote may relate to Mr Tan. In business, I've observed 1st hand the folly of a person thinking that because they are the boss, they can tell experts in a field what to do and how to do it. I suppose they are entitled to, but it doesnt produce the best outcome. Let me dumb it down for illustration, you dont keep a dog and bark yourself.
Jobs had more sense than to buy a football club. Its oft been said that the way to make a small fortune out of a football club is to start with a large fortune.
I would say Tan wins hands down as Jobs has never managed to get a football team promoted to the premier league twice, after all this is a football forum and Jobs comes nowhere.
While Jobs is using you to sell mobile phones at inflated prices Tan is invested millions into the club you support. The question is who do you support Jobs or Tan?
Is it just me or has this thread taken some really strange twist/turn??? Even stranger than some of Ojo's choices of runs to make???? Any Moore transfer news yet?????
