And the funds are clearly there for attacking options. We clearly really wanted Delap. And potentially still might next season. Better than just throwing money at anyone.

Not sure if we will spend this in January though. If the right options come up then maybe. Doubt it will be Gakpo though - Leeds will be all over it with a higher fee and said fee might well increase anyway and no longer be considered good value

Well, that's got to be a 9.5/10 transfer window for me. Gakpo seemed so close, close enough to book a medical allegedly. Another reason to despise Leeds. But I really like the squad we have now and the good news is there's not that many games (13 I think) between now and January. So if we're say 10th or higher I'm sure Solak will get his chequebook out again.

Forget Leeds. He will probably end up with a top 6 club.

Depends where we are in the table.
 
Squad changes:

Forster ---> Bazunu
Bednarek ---> ABK
Stephens ---> DCC
Valery ---> Larios
Romeu ---> Lavia
Smallbone ---> AMN
Tella ---> Edozie
Broja ---> Mara
Long ---> Aribo (not an exact comparison)

So generally upgrades in most positions. Mara is probably not far off what Broja when he first joined in terms of what we know. It seems unlikely he will have the impact Broja did - but I'm not sure many thought that Broja would play how he did when we signed him

Seems to be a fair amount of versatility in these signings as well

Not perfect, but probably as close to perfect as we could realistically get! Great window! A lot of exciting young talent with a lot of potential upside for this season and beyond. We are short a striker but we clearly did everything we could to land the players we wanted and really no point in throwing away money on a player we’re not convinced on for the sake of it. Exciting that the money is there though. In an ideal world we would have shifted a few more too and sold some that were loans but you can’t make teams buy your players.
