Looks like we really did put all our efforts into getting Gakpo as our attacking option. Rumours we tried a loan again for Broja but Chelsea wanted a permanent deal which we weren’t willing to spend our full budget on. At least we know we have the money if needed in January.
Get DCC in which is all but done, and really has been a fantastic window. Upgraded in most areas of the pitch, team and squad. Thank you Sports Republic, they knew a squad overhaul was needed and have delivered.

My gut feeling is that Villa won't be taking up their option to buy in due course (assuming it's true that an option exists). But we'll see.

Well, well. I'd say that we have played a blinder this window regardless of who comes in. As much as I would have loved Gakpo to join its not the disaster some social media types would have us think. There are 11 games left till the window reopens so I'm looking on that as a opportunity to assess and see where we need to address. If we stick with the 433 we can cope with our forward options on current evidence. We have added to the wide options and covered for Tino's absence.

I think this season is a potential **** show for a lot of clubs with the WC in the middle. If you've got internationals heading off to the most intense tournament in the world, you'd better be planning for pt2 without them or get caught napping. For us and especially clubs like forest, the WC will be another pre-season basically. All our young incomings will be here to work and prep so they can run rings around the exhausted international winners when they get back : )

Overall 4 gold stars. Would happily watch again.

Twat. That’s why they wanted him out (I suspect he was behind the Mail article, if anyone was).

It certainly seems like he was at least one of the sources. I wonder what he will say when he is back next summer after those comments. Because I really don't see them exercising any buy option (if one is in there). He is cover for a serious injury. I'd expect the only way he gets a permanent move is if Gerrard lasts the season and forces Mings out completely...

But maybe he will thrive there playing in a different system and style (Stevie G would need to settle on one first)

Ah, the old 'Wesley Hoedt'. Get found out, blame the club, leak bullshit to the Daily Mail, get a **** move, big it up like you're playing in the Champions League, fail again, contract terminated by mutual consent, play in luxembourg 2nd divsion.
Warning: Don’t slam the door on your large head when leaving!
