A few posters on SW's have said that Adam Armstrong hasn't settled! Whether that is true or not is anyone's guess. But it is definitely plausible.. Not getting the game time, amongst other things that obviously are not in the public domain.

If this is true and assuming we sell Bednarek too which I think is more likely, then we must be looking to bring in another CB still. Salisu, Bella-Kotchap, New Signing and Stephens. I assume in an ideal world we would loan out Simeu to a Championship team at least until Christmas to see how he gets on at a higher level after impressing in League 2. Maybe keep Valery as the 5th choice/good option for 3 at the back.

Only sense I can see is if we are trying to get that team promoted to the Turkish top flight so sending players who should be far too good for Div 2 in Turkey there. Not sure why the players themselves would agree to it though

It’s more likely that some people in Turkey are looking at our squad and also our new signings and picking ones that might be available for loan.
logic being - oh they signed a defender. That moves Lyanco down the list. Maybe we could get him on loan

If there is any truth in the rumours linking Armstrong away I think it would point to those two being signings we wouldn’t have made if sport republic had been in place last summer
