Transfer Rumours Summer 2022 Transfer Window

A few posters on SW's have said that Adam Armstrong hasn't settled! Whether that is true or not is anyone's guess. But it is definitely plausible.. Not getting the game time, amongst other things that obviously are not in the public domain.

 

Only been to one MLS game, in New York a few years ago, but if that was anything to go by it is every bit as bad as people give it credit for.

 

The point on LA v Wales still stands though

I feel bad for him. He might be too erratic and not good enough, but theres no doubting his passion or effort (not to mention he's a very likeable nutcase) and he's not had much of a crack of the whip yet really.
If this is true and assuming we sell Bednarek too which I think is more likely, then we must be looking to bring in another CB still. Salisu, Bella-Kotchap, New Signing and Stephens. I assume in an ideal world we would loan out Simeu to a Championship team at least until Christmas to see how he gets on at a higher level after impressing in League 2. Maybe keep Valery as the 5th choice/good option for 3 at the back.

 

Dunno, I’ve never been to LA. Wales is beautiful.

 

I can’t see us buying 2 CB’s as well as 2 strikers. And a no 10. And a CDM.

I see 1 striker coming in, possibly 1 attacking mid/winger and a CB.

 

Makes absolutely no sense.

 

Saw Valery was linked with a loan move there aswell.

Only sense I can see is if we are trying to get that team promoted to the Turkish top flight so sending players who should be far too good for Div 2 in Turkey there. Not sure why the players themselves would agree to it though

 

Buying - no. But loan slots are available

 

It’s more likely that some people in Turkey are looking at our squad and also our new signings and picking ones that might be available for loan.

logic being - oh they signed a defender. That moves Lyanco down the list. Maybe we could get him on loan

Of course it could happen but I’d expect we either want to keep him or try and get our money back (if there is anything in the sampdoria rumours)

 

If there is any truth in the rumours linking Armstrong away I think it would point to those two being signings we wouldn’t have made if sport republic had been in place last summer

We needed to fill squad space.

And if that assumption is true then the idea that we are quickly looking to replace them in the squad is a good sign in my view

Based on a lot of assumptions to get to that point though
