I think most clubs are by default, yeah, but Brentford actually embrace it. Where many club's fans are pissed off when their best player goes, there seems to be more of an inevitability about it at Brentford.

They have a young Finnish striker, Marcus Forss who was at Wimbledon last season and they got from WBA for nothing, he'll be the next to go. I think their vetting and scouting process is incredibly rigourous, it's like every player they bring in slots into the first team or goes on to make them a profit, even the ones that go for less than a million quid.

Brentford have basically adopted a BTEC Ajax model.

Ajax rely heavily on good scouting and players coming through, then selling for a profit, using some of it to bring in the next exciting player they've noticed and the process starts all over again, all the while maintaining being able to challenge every season.

Donny Van De Beek
Frenkie De Jong
Hakim Ziyech
Sergino Dest
Matthijs De Ligt
Kasper Dolberg
Justin Kluivert
Davinson Sanchez
Davy Klaasen
Jairo Riedewald

All left in the last few years and they've still got a squad that can compete - they've brought in a Brazilian lad called Antony who looks like he could be something special, even though he's still very raw at the moment.

Bet they were gutted to miss out on Jordy De Wijs...

Forest and Olympiacos are owned by the same person - Evangelos Marinakis...

Bit of a scam really, he's not really signing for Olympiacos, he's just signing for Forest without appearing on their balance sheet.

It is a scam to get around FPL rules, the EFL must surely clamp down on this when they get around to it, just like they did with purchasing own stadiums...

I doubt they'll bother, not unless it involves a significant amount of players, or players with a much higher value than Grosicki, it's not enough of a big deal.
