You had me there for a minute![]()
How polite of you not to finish your last sentence aggressively with a full stop.
Is that a full stop spelt emoji? There is a full stop. Its big and yellow and looks like a smiley face.
Be interesting if he ever kicks a ball for Olym's....Bit of a scam really, he's not really signing for Olmpiacos, he's just signing for Forest without appearing on their balance sheet.
Tell me you don't understand the sentence when I do that and I'd be right in calling you an idiot. Is that a full stop spelt emoji?

£40k for Ken Wagstaff from Mansfield back in 1964/65 was a colossal fee at the time. Probably more then all the players Mansfield had sold in their entire history and the the cost of Field Mill in its day thrown in.Yup.
The old man always maintained we screwed Mansfield for a certain player back in the 60s although it was a fair wadge at the time by all accounts.
I remember the one he missed at Wembley. That goal he scored at Derby in the play offs was one of my favourite City goals of all time. Lung busting.

First Division clubs were not spending that sort of money on transfer fees and Hull City from Div 3 did it three times in no time at all. The newspapers were calling us The Bank of England Club in those days.
It's equivalent to £655,000 in todays money.£40k for Ken Wagstaff from Mansfield back in 1964/65 was a colossal fee at the time. Probably more then all the players Mansfield had sold in their entire history and the the cost of Field Mill in its day thrown in.

True, that purchase from Torino by Man United was in '62. (Dunno what the present value after inflation that would be for that fee), but there were a lot more transfers in that era which were far above that paid by City for Waggy, Houghton & Butler (All 40k), despite what Urika may be suggesting. Yes, we paid big money for the 3 that became superb acquisitions in that league between '64- '68, but there were much higher prices paid by 1st Division teams in that period. e.g. Frank McLintock, Leicester to Arsenal '64 fo 80k.It's equivalent to £655,000 in todays money.
At that time the record UK transfer fee was £115,000 for the sale of Denis Law.
