Judging by twitter, we seemed to have signed a great player and the best thing since sliced bread. But then you step back and think for a second, we signed a player who was released from Championship team, who only played 2 games last season and was released on a free.

If we were in the championship, and we signed a player who had just been released from a premier league club, who had been a key part of two championship promotions, would anyone be moaning?

I think not.

Some other clubs might be saying that about the likes of Kevin Stewart, Irvine etc, but they'll be saying were signing people released on a free by a League 1 club

Most clubs will be releasing players, particularly ones they can't now afford....

Remember, our best ever players during PL, have been the ones we spent the least on.....

Looks like a good signing for this League.
To be honesr Elder, Wilks & KLP aside I'd get rid of all those pathetic ****s from last season.

I don't think we target injured players.... I think some players we've targeted have had fitness levels below what we should be prepared to accept. Could blame the medical professionals though.....
I disagree. We definitely do target injury prone players, because they come cheap. If you're always on the physios table, you'll take anything you can get.

Personally, I’d get rid of McCann, employ someone with the ability to change a system. Nigel Clough would do a job for us. Probably wouldn’t work for the Allams though! I’d even take a punt on some top player who fancies player/manager, but again, would they work for Ehab?

Well we needed to add some steal and passion to the team and up to now seen to be doing so.last season the wimpy lot we had just caved in. League one is not for bottlers. I don't know how good any of the signings are and I would think most players we sign we won't have heard of or know much about. However It's surprising what some experience and leaders can bring out in others but a few needed yet. One thing McCann wants to think about is that when we played a decent league one club in Rotherham that until he brought Bowen and Grosciki on we were second best to a league one club not just every championship club we played in the second half of the season.

Personally I know nothing about the players we have brought in, I guess that emphasises how far we have fallen. On the face of it, they seem reasonable acquisitions and certainly with the last signing someone that can break up play and bring some energy to the mid-field is certainly needed.

I suspect we are in for a season of attrition, rather than football that is pleasant on the eye.

I actually work with a Blackburn Rovers fan and these were his thoughts:

“Haha he is absolute dogshit”
“he was a worse signing than Grabbi”
“He played in our league one season then we dropped him as he isn't good enough for championship”

Really? Almost every Blackburn comment on Twitter is incredibly positive about Smallwood. He’s obviously one of those fans that proclaims how **** a player is once they are no longer attached to their club.

Funny how Smallwood had the nickname ‘King of Ewood’. I don’t imagine that kind of thing happens if you are genuinely ‘dog ****’.
