No matter how good he is he’ll soon get sickened off playing centre mid in our team and all the ground he’ll have to cover
If a player has a bad injury on their record, it factors into their value. We probably sign these players hoping they'll stay fit because when they are fit they're half decent.
How the **** would McCant know what that was.... and how many green shield stamps did we get with him...
Has he been injured? He seems to have had rave reviews and alongside Dack he was one of their key players. Then he just seemed to fall off the radar.
Bit tacky for a professional business to be using that. OK mate to mate and similar, but in this case I think it's a no no.
Mate of mine who is a Blackburn fan says good holding midfielder, will get stuck in, player of the season when promoted from div 1, but simply not good enough for The Championship
That young lad Travis, who always looks superb when I see him against us, established himself and Smallwood fell away. Smallwood is from Redcar. Good east coast stock.
“IT’S A GREAT FEELING. I’M JUST HAPPY TO BE HERE AND CAN’T WAIT TO GET STARTED.” Those were the first words of new signing Richie Smallwood, who penned a two-year deal – with a Club option of a further twelve months – to become a Hull City player on Tuesday. The 29-year-old midfielder will join up with his new team-mates for the first time in Scotland as the Tigers continue their preparations for the new season with a week-long training camp north of the border. Delighted to have made the move to the KCOM Stadium, Smallwood is hoping the switch will see him contribute to the team enjoying a positive and successful 2020/21 League One campaign. “I just can’t wait,” he said. “It’s been a while since I’ve played so I’m just looking forward to the games coming thick and fast. “Prior to the last 18 months, that is what I’ve been used to and that is what I want to get back to. “It’s a fresh start for me here and I’m willing to fight for and earn my place in the side. I’ll give everything I’ve got to try and help the team pick up positive results. “My career has stalled a little bit over the last 18 months but I’m determined to come here, hit the ground running and hopefully help the team pick up plenty of positive results when the season gets underway. “Obviously, I know all about Hull City. I know where they’ve been and where they want to get back to. “It’s not a League One club but we are where we are right now and we know the importance of getting ourselves out of this league and back into the Championship. “I’m coming here to do my utmost best to play a part in making that happen and to get this club back to where it belongs.”
Judging by twitter, we seemed to have signed a great player and the best thing since sliced bread. But then you step back and think for a second, we signed a player who was released from Championship team, who only played 2 games last season and was released on a free.
Glad we're getting deals done early..... Promoted by Allams panic one wonders.... They've got everything to lose now, club not worth half what they want for it....
He’s been in the starting XI in two teams who’ve been promoted from the league we’re looking to get out of, he’s very committed and can be a bit of a ****house at times. I think he’s what we need, I just hope he can get up to speed quickly, as his lack of recent football has to be a concern.
I hope we can get him up to speed and slotted into the team. We need to get a settled team and get some confidence back into our play. I am also hoping that other league 1 teams will start a bit slowly due to having a near 6 month break from competitive football.
For a Manager ... yes he does For a Vice-Chairman ... yes he does For a Chairman ... yes he does For a tallywhacker ... No chance, he’s from Redcar.
