I drove from Seattle right down the coast finishing in LA where my wife sister lives, then took a trip into L.Vegas, spent 4 days there and back to LA and flew home.

Enjoyed San Fransico much more than LA.

I also preferred SF to LA but I found the homeless situation in SF as distressing as anywhere I've recently seen.

Wouldn't that be the second singing after the Stockport lad? Or we classing him as last season signing
 
Lewie Coyle looks to be a decent signing, we really needed some experience at right back. Local lad as well.
 
Head coach Joey Barton has explained he simply couldn’t stand in the way of a move for Lewie Coyle to Hull City.

The 24-year-old defender joined his hometown club for a substantial undisclosed fee on Thursday, ending three years at Highbury Stadium.

Coyle made 135 appearances during three loan spells with the Cod Army, before finally agreeing a permanent deal from Leeds United in January. He was sent off during his final game for the club against Wycombe Wanderers in the Sky Bet League One play-off semi-final last month.


And following Town manager Barton revealed the move is one which suited both parties.

“Hull is Lewie's hometown, so it’s a dream move for him and one he couldn’t turn down. I spoke to him yesterday about the move and he said he wouldn’t have wanted to leave for any other club.

“We are obviously disappointed to lose him, but this was a move which we just couldn’t stand in the way of.

“Lewie been a fantastic servant to the club and a player who’s been superb for me as a manager. The way he trains everyday and the standards he sets shows in the way he plays on a Saturday I’ve got nothing but praise for him as a player and a lad.

“As a club it’s been a good bit of business for us, he joined on a free transfer in January and we’ve managed to see a decent return. It’s money which hopefully will help us strengthen the squad, so this is a move which will help both parties.

“We all thank Lewie for his efforts and wish him and his family well for the future.”

I loved LA!

It was like walking around in a real-life movie. I did downtown LA, Hollywood and up to the Hollywood sign, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Venice Beach/Venice Canals and the Warner Bros tour.

The only downside is the dire public transport, you need to Uber everywhere.

My friend has emigrated, living in Sacramento so will no doubt be visiting him in the future when life is more safe to travel again. Would definitely go back to LA to finish what I missed, so might fly out of there, but he said he'll take me to see the sights of San Francisco/Oakland when I do get chance to visit. I also want to visit Folsom, just because of Johnny Cash, haha.
