Sorry Bluey, but Arter is a headless chicken who sets his stall out from the off by intimidating the oppostion to the extent that he was lucky to stay on the pitch a few times. He chases and harries - that's his game.
You have to admire his enthusiasm but he lacks any finesse. If you need a dog, then he is it - the trouble was we already had another dog in Gunnar and the creativity died. Howe didn't want him in his side (who attempt to play football) or even at the club, and that speaks volumes.
Camarasa was playing in the wrong side - the style just didn't suit him. He had very little opportunity to settle into his natural game because there were very few players on the pitch who were on the same wavelength and he suffered as a result. He was often like a fish out of water not knowing what he was supposed to do - get forward or drop back.
Reid and Murphy are the sort who would have brought the best out of him which I'm convinced we never saw. I'm not saying we would have ammassed more points last season with those two on the pitch along with Camarasa, but we would certainly have enjoyed the football a lot more.
All conjecture and water under the bridge I know, but it's all good forum chat.
